Abstract: Odontogenic cysts are relatively common in dental practice, and can be classified as developmental or of inflammatory origin. Most dentigerous cysts are considered developmental in their origin, some examples appear to present an inflammatory pathogenesis; resorption of the tooth in question as well as the tooth adjacent to the lesion may also be considered rare. This paper aims to present a clinical case of a patient diagnosed with a dentigerous cyst of inflammatory origin in the mandible, associated with extensive root resorption of the tooth adjacent to the lesion, covering the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of the case.

Abstract: Background : Pancreatic metastases is a very rare presentation. The primary neoplasms which can cause pancreatic metasta-sis include melanoma, lung, gastrointestinal tract, breast and renal carcinomas, and lymphomas. Ewing's Sar-coma most commonly metastasizes to lung, pleura and bone. Ewings sarcoma with pancreatic metastasis is a rare entity. Case description 20 year old female presented to hospital with pain in the right inguinal region for 2 months and was diagnosed as a case of ewings sarcoma. Patient was given External beam radiotherapy(EBRT) 50 Gy in 25 fractions and chemotherapy. After 5 years.....

Abstract: Many studies have evaluated the diagnostic characteristics of BNP and NT-proBNP. Study populations have included patients with acute decompensated HF who present to the emergency room or patients with symptoms and signs of HF who are evaluated by primary care physicians. These studies have examined the performance of BNP and NT- proBNP in patients with various comorbidities and at different cut points. However, questions about issues such as optimal cut points still persist regarding the diagnostic capability of BNP and NT-proBNP. Consequently, a systematic review is needed to better understand the diagnostic capability of BNP and NT-proBNP.Clinically, HF is a syndrome with typical symptoms (e.g., breathlessness and fatigue) and signs (e.g., elevated jugular venous pressure and pulmonary crackles). Patients with HF may have either reduced or preserved left ventricular ejection....

Abstract: Introduction: Dengue is a mosquito borne viral fever, which is prevalent in India. A two year study was conducted from January 2018 to December 2019, to determine the prevalence of dengue infection in patients with clinically suspected dengue fever at Smt. S.C.L. Hospital, Ahmedabad. Aims and Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical, pathological and radiological findings in dengue fever which are useful for early diagnosis and management of a dengue fever to reduce morbidity and mortality. Materials and Methods: A analytical study was carried out at Smt. S.C.L. Hospital, Ahmedabad, for a period of two years. A total of 7270 cases were included. The samples were tested for dengue NS1 antigen and IgM antibodies using the ELISA Methodology.......

Abstract: Background: Tuberculous lymphadenitis is the most common extrapulmonary manifestation of TB. Rapid and accurate diagnosis of extrapulmonary tuberculosis especially TB lymphadenitis is very challenging. Difficulty in sampling, paucibacillary nature of samples as well as long turnaround time are some of the limitations of conventional methods of smear microscopy, culture and cytomorphological diagnosis by FNAC. The objective of this study was establishing pivotal role of GeneXpert assay in early diagnosis of tuberculous lymphadenitis and its comparative utility over cytomorphological methods. Materials and Methods: This prospective study was conducted over a period of one and half year i. e. from January 2017 to May 2018 in TB C & DST Laboratory Department Of Microbiology Government Medical College, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.....

Abstract: Introduction: Scrub typhus is a mite-borne infectious disease caused by Orrentia Tsu-tsugamushi. This disease is mostly seen in cattle grazing people in rural areas and in farmers which forms approximately two-third of all reported cases. Severity of infection varies from mild signs and symptoms to multi organ failure. The chief target of the organism is the vascular endothelium of various organs. There is inflammation in and around the blood vessels that causes endothelial damage resulting in vascular leakage and organ dysfunction. Case report: A 65yr old female, farmer by occupation was admitted with complain fever, myalgia and headache, subsequently developed gangrene of digits in both hands. We investigated the patient for infectious and non-infectious causes of vasculitis.......

Abstract: BACKGROUND Almost 50% of children undergoing surgery shows signs of significant preoperative anxiety and fear and may not be co operative to anaesthesia. Untreated anxiety may lead to difficult induction, greater need of rescue analgesia and post operative psychological effects and behavioral issues. Psychological trauma and distress for both children and parents are major challenges in paediatric anaesthesia. Hence premedication is used not only to produce amnesia but to allay fear and anxiety and to provide calm and cooperative child for smooth induction. We preffered oral form of premedication drugs to which children will be more complaint. AIM : To compare.....

Abstract: Leiomyomas account for a large part of benign gynecologic surgery. There is a high incidence of leiomyomas in Tropical Africa and Abdominal myomectomy is preferred to Hysterectomy due to the societal and personal reproductive demand on pre menopausal women and the need for large family sizes in Sub Saharan Africa. Several approaches have been implemented, each with its benefits and drawbacks. The aim of this study is to present a case of a complicated post-operative course after leiomyoma surgery. We present on a 33-year-old (gravida 0 and para 0) patient who was operated on for multiple leiomyomas and presented with post operative paralytic ileus (Pseudo intestinal obstruction), necessitating immediate interventions. Leiomyomas represent a common indication for gynecologic surgery. The gynecologic surgeon needs to be familiar with the all the possible complications of myomectomy since early diagnosis of possible complications is of great importance.....

Abstract: BACKGROUND:
Cardiovascular diseases in women affects nearly 1% of all pregnancies. Challenges in the management has increased because successful treatment of congenital heart diseases has created a new population who are able to reach the childbearing age and pregnancy in older women who are susceptible to heart disease acquired in adulthood.
STUDY DESIGN: It is a prospective observational study.
PLACE OF STUDY: Chengalpattu medical college and hospital
METHODOLOGY: All pregnant women who were referred or attended OPD but who donot have heart disease but presenting with symptoms and signs suggestive of heart disease were subjected to meticulous history taking and detailed examination was done after getting informed consent....

Abstract: Introduction: The lower limbs of human beings are primarily adapted for balance and locomotion,1 just as the upper limbs' primary function is access to the apertures of the body and manipulation of tools. The erect posture assumed by man is inherently unstable and depends for its success on a carefully orchestrated balance between opposing groups of muscles, controlled by a rapidly adapting nervous system.
Materials and Methods: A study was undertaken at M.G.M Medical College, Jamshedpur to find out the types of injury patterns occurred due to the road traffic accidents. All Case histories and records, reports pertaining to road traffic accident victims were collected and analyzed to see different types of injury patterns sustained in the accident and data was compiled....
