Abstract: Unknown Primary Tumour (UPT) corresponds to the presence of one or more metastasis in the body without an identified primary tumor. In some cases, the primary cancer is never found. Lung cancers are more often characterized by pulmonary, bone, brain, adrenal and liver growth. However, abnormal localizations may be possible and sometimes reveal the primary site of origin. The case of a 77-year-old patient who suffered from a left cervical adenopathy mass is reported. After different examinations, it was impossible to identify the tumour process involved or the primary site of origin. During the etiological research, an adenectomy and the histological......

Abstract: Stroke in young adults comprises 10-15% of all strokes among patients. Approximately 15% of Ischemic strokes occur in young adults. 1This is the major cause of morbidity & mortality in young patients. Incidence of young stroke is on the rise. Along with various traditional risk factors, there are some emerging vascular, genetic and other unidentified risk factors implicated in the etiopathogenesis of young stroke Background.....

Abstract: Introduction: Adnexal masses pose a diagnostic dilemma to the gynaecologist as well as radiologist because of their varied spectrum. The most important thing that needs to be determined is that whether the lesion is benign or malignant, so that the patient gets the appropriate treatment based on the pathology. Hence, the aim of the present study was to determine the accuracy of MRI in diagnosing benign and malignant adnexal lesions and its correlation with histopathological findings. Materials and Methods: Prospective cross......

Abstract: Background - The rhesus antigen is an important characteristic of blood cells. It indicates whether the blood of two different people is compatible when mixed – such as the blood of a mother and her baby at birth, blood transfusion etc. Different blood group characteristics may cause problems. The rhesus factor D (Rh D), a protein found on the surface of the red blood cells also referred to as the Rh D antigen. Three pairs of antigenic determinants (Dd, Cc, Ee) are present in Rh-complex. Rh-antigen, that was shared by about 85% and it was discovered in monkey Macacus rhesus (1). People who have Rh antigen, are said to be "Rh-positive" (rhesus positive). And someone who lacks it is "Rh-negative.....

Abstract: Background: Stroke or cerebrovascular accident according to World Health Organization (WHO) is a focal or global neurological deficit of vascular origin lasting more than twenty-four hours or resulting in death before twenty-four hours. In sub-Saharan Africa as well as around the globe, stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide after ischaemic heart disease with the victims mainly in the productive age ranges. Notably, strokes are preceded by modifiable risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity, smoking and alcohol ingestion. The use of electrocardiography (ECG) in addition to controlling these risk factors would reduce the occurrence, morbidity and mortality of stroke in at-risk patients as ECG is both a preventive and prognostic tool. The.....

Abstract: Substance use among students in Kenyan institutions of higher learning has risen substantially in recent years. This has necessitated innovative intervention responses to curb the growing trend. The Alcohol Drugs and Substance Abuse (ADSA) Committee in MUST employs an experimental approach that engages students in conducting campaigns aimed at prevention of drug and substance abuse among their peers using social media messaging. The study hypothesized that: positive antidrug brand depictions could be promoted using social media approaches to complement crushing the myths in-person, model-based approach; students would respond positively and be encouraged with prevention messages disseminated by their peers; exposure to the social media prevention messages would be.....
