Abstract: Introduction: The use of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), as a treatment for benign and malignant pancreaticobiliary tree disorders is becoming widely accepted. Pancreatitis is the most frequent complication of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), accounting for substantial morbidity, and mortality. Most recently, interest has been developed in the study of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to prevent PEP. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of combined rectal indomethacin and sublingual nitroglycerin before ERCP in reducing the risk of post-ERCP pancreatitis......

Abstract: Aim: the chorioretinal vascular density (crvd) in glaucomatous eyes was investigated using widefield swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (ss-octa), and the differences between glaucomatous and normal eyes along with the relationship glaucomatous eyes with visual field defects were examined. This study aims to analyze the differences between glaucomatous and normal eyes. Methods: forty normal eyes with no anterior eye abnormalities, no ocular media abnormalities, normal open angles, spherical.....

Abstract: Background: Assessing altered consciousness in children is a complex and critical element of emergency treatment. There is no objective method for communicating and documenting the degree of coma other than vital signs. Clinicians widely use clinical ratings or scales to record the state of awareness. The prediction power of the FOUR score was shown to be as excellent as that of the GCS in a pooled study of prospectively examined individuals with traumatic and non-traumatic coma. As a result, the current research was conducted to test the accuracy....

Abstract: Synovial sarcoma is a rare and aggressive soft tissue malignancy that primarily affects adolescents and young adults. Despite its name, it does not arise from synovial tissue but rather from primitive mesenchymal cells. This malignancy commonly presents as a painless, slow-growing mass in the extremities, particularly around large joints, but can occur in various locations throughout the body. Diagnosis of synovial sarcoma relies on a combination of clinical evaluation, imaging......

Abstract: Background: Alcoholism is one of the leading causes of late-onset epilepsy in the West. Alcohol has a direct toxic effect on the central nervous system resulting in cerebral atrophy. Alcoholic epilepsy is estimated between 3 and 7%. Alcoholic epilepsy is defined by the occurrence of seizures in chronic alcoholics without a history of epilepsy, unrelated to withdrawal or excess alcohol and generally occurring after more than 10 years of alcoholism. The objective of our study was to determine and analyse late epilepsy secondary to Alcoholism in the Algerian population......

Abstract: Background: Post-traumatic epilepsy is defined by the recurrence of seizures following a head trauma, apart from early seizures, thus occurring beyond the first week following the trauma. Post-traumatic epilepsy occurs in 50% of cases during the first year following the head injury, in 75% of cases within 2 years, 85% of cases within 5 years, and only 3% occur after 10 years. The objective of our study was to determine and analyse post-traumatic causes of late onset epilepsy in the Algerian population........

Abstract: Background: Williamson et al and then Engel defined the syndrome of the medial side of the temporal lobe which associates hippocampal sclerosis with a relatively typical electroclinical picture. In the medial aspect of the temporal lobe syndrome, there is often a reproducible chronological sequence of events. Abstract: Background: Preeclampsia (PE) is a multi-systemic disorder with circulatory pressure of more than 140/90 mm Hg and proteinuria with 0.3 g in a 24 h on dipstick emerging after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Due to incomplete spiral arterial transformation and incomplete cytotrophoblastic cell division. Due to that there will be improper trophoblastic development and improper implantation. As there is imbalance in Placental Inhibiting Growth Factor (PIGF) levels in PE women, it constricts the blood vessels and leads to endothelial dysfunction. Low....

Abstract: Background: Implant prosthetic treatment is a widely used approach to restore missing teeth and enhance oral function. However, complications related to implant prostheses can significantly affect treatment outcomes and patient satisfaction. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, type, and management of complications associated with implant prosthetic treatment among clinicians. Methods: A mixed-methods approach, involving both quantitative and qualitative analyses, was employed. A structured questionnaire was developed to collect data on demographic information, types of complications encountered, management....

Abstract: The Crouzon syndrome is typically diagnosed in early childhood due to its characteristic craniofacial anomalies, but in rare cases, diagnosis may occur later, especially when facial features become apparent post-childhood growth or due to secondary complications like dental issues. This clinical case involves two siblings showing significant dental eruption delay and atypical facial anomalies discovered during orthodontic evaluation. Clinical....
