Abstract: Background. Adrenalin was supposed to have an anti-inflammatory effect; hence adrenalin concentration in blood serum might be lower in inflammatory diseases. Coffee contains caffeine that is thought to have the potency to increase adrenalin secretion in inflammatory diseases. This study aimed to analyze the effect of coffee consumption on adrenalin blood levels in periodontitis rat model. Materials and Methods. This in vivo experimental study used the post-test-only control group design. Wistar male rats (Rattus novergicus) were divided into four groups (four rats/group) i.e. 1) Periodontitis (no coffee), 2) periodontitis + coffee, 3) Coffee (no periodontitis), 4) Control (no coffee, no periodontitis).........

Abstract: Background: Cleft lip and palate (CLP) is the most common congenital anomalies. CLP patients need multiple surgeries to correct these deformities to achieve function and esthetic needs. As a result of these surgeries, CLP individuals suffer from midface hypoplasia. The correction of maxillary hypoplasia is by conventional orthognathic or maxillary distraction osteogenesis. Materials and Methods: This review of literature is based on searches through main databases included Pubmed, Sciencedirect and Scoupus. Also, through grey literature EKB, Google Scholar to expand our search. We used searching keywords include cleft lip and palate, conventional orthognathic surgery, maxillary distraction osteogenesis connected with Boolean operators OR, AND.........

Abstract: Background: Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome is a rare condition of unknown frequency resulting from brain injury due to a multitude of causes; especially in early life. Characteristics include cerebral hemiatrophy/ hypoplasia, contralateral hemiparesis, seizures, and compensatory osseous hypertrophy. Due to Its rarity , it may be misdiagnosed or under-reported by majority of clinicians.[1-3]. Case presentation: We present a case of 8 yr old girl who presented to us with breakthrough seizures Conclusions: Due to its rarity, Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome may easily be missed by the majority of treating clinicians. Knowledge of its features on imaging enables timely and accurate diagnosis – allowing appropriate management.

Abstract: Background Calcaneal spurs are bony outgrowths that develop on the calcaneus (heel bone) and are frequently associated with heel pain conditions such as plantar fasciitis. Despite their clinical significance, there is limited understanding of the prevalence, distribution, and morphological characteristics of calcaneal spurs in specific populations. Addressing this knowledge gap is crucial for informing diagnostic and treatment approaches tailored to individual patient needs. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the prevalence, distribution, and morphological features of calcaneal spurs in a sample population from western Gujarat. Abstract: The management of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases requires a therapeutic arsenal. Among the treatments offered, we have biological therapies including ustekinumab, a monoclonal antibody, which acts by inhibiting interleukins 12 and 23, thus reducing the inflammatory activity observed in this type of disease. We report the case of a patient suffering from Crohn's disease who developed unexpected nail and skin involvement such as trachyonychia and erythematous axillary plaques following initiation of treatment with ustekinumab. Despite its rarity, this case highlights the importance of vigilance for adverse reactions and the need for continued monitoring as well as a thorough understanding of the mechanisms of biologic drugs in the management of chronic inflammatory diseases.

Abstract: The utility arch is a crucial and versatile tool that assists in both interceptive and comprehensive orthodontic treatments. It can be used during different stages of orthodontic treatment, whether it is in mixed or permanent dentition. Originally developed in 1977 by C.J. Burstone, the utility arch was created to align the curve of Spee in the mandible utilizing biomechanical principles. Over time, the utility arch was further adapted and refined by Ricketts and became an essential key component of Bioprogressive Therapy, a modern orthodontic treatment approach. The utility arch is particularly useful for intruding upper and lower incisors, as well as protruding and retruding anterior teeth.....

Abstract: Jejunal diverticulosis (JD), a rare condition characterized by outpouchings of the small intestine, often presents a diagnostic challenge. While typically asymptomatic, JD can lead to complications like intestinal obstruction and diverticulitis. This case report describes a 75-year-old male who presented with acute abdominal pain, vomiting, and signs of intestinal obstruction. Imaging studies suggested a small bowel obstruction with a possible right para duodenal hernia. However, exploratory laparotomy revealed a more complex picture: multiple inflamed jejunal diverticula with adhesions and impending perforation, consistent with jejunal diverticulitis.....

Abstract: Cerebellar ataxia can be antibody- mediated, and this can occur in the setting of paraneoplastic syndrome or in the absence of an ongoing malignancy. Interestingly, the detection of specific types of autoantibodies has been found to be statistically linked to different etiologies. Anti-Yo, -Zic, -CARPVIII, -Tr, -Ri, -Hu, -Ma, -CRMP-5, -ANNA-3, -PCA-2, -VGCC, and -mGluR antibodies were more commonly associated with paraneoplastic processes, while anti-GAD, -thyroid, and -gliadin were usually non-paraneoplastic. We present a case of ataxia due to both anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) antibodies and anti- ZIC4 (Zinc-finger protein 4) not associated with malignancy.

Abstract: Adequate Inter-arch space is necessary in case of a successful prosthesis. Reduced interarch space can further affect the stability, crown/root ratio alteration, and poor aesthetics. Rehabilitation of a distal extension in partially edentulous patient become more difficult once the patient neither accepts the treatment choice of implant placement nor for a removable prosthesis. The solution in such a vital scenario is to place a combined prosthesis. The case report describes the management of reduced inter-arch area with periodontics and prosthodontics interdisciplinary approach. It encompasses of periodontal approach to extend the space for an ideal prosthesis..
