Abstract: Background: Radiographic examination plays an important role in every stage of dental case management. Lack of public knowledge about radiography may cause it to beviewed dangerous. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of public knowledge about dentomaxillofacial radiography in Lau Bakeri Village, Deli Serdang Regency. Materials and Methods: This type of research is a descriptive survey using a questionnaire as a tool to collect data. Location of this research was conducted in Lau Bakeri village. The research population is people aged 20-60 years in Lau Bakeri village as many as 3,351 people. The sampling method used the Slovin formula so that there were 370 research samples......

Abstract: Aim
The purpose of this study was to assess and compare the outcome of different treatment modalities in PDR patients.
Methodology
This Prospective, comparative, Interventional study was conducted. All the patients who reported to ophthalmology OPD with PDR during the study period (Feb.2020-Aug.2021) were evaluated. Detailed ocular examination including BCVA, indirect ophthalmoscopy, fundus photography and FFA was done. Patients were divided in two groups, Group A received Intravitreal Anti VEGF(Bevacizumab) injection and Group B treated by PRP. Outcome measure in term of visual improvement and regression......

Abstract: Objectives The main objective of this study is to determine the association of serum Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH), γ-glutamyltransferase (GGT) levels, and progression of Preeclampsia. (PE). Materials and method This is a case-control study, was conducted at Maternity Hospital, Police Hospital, and Port Sudan Hospital, Red Sea State, Sudan, from January/2017 to August 2017. The study enrolled 100 women divided into normal Control group (n = 40), and Case group included 60 women with PE (38 mild cases, and 22 severe cases). Estimation of serum LDH and GGT levels were measured by using the Spectrophotometric method using BioSystems reagents (BioSystems S.A. Costa. Brava,30.08030. Barcelona, Spain).......

Abstract: Collapse of the alveolar ridge both vertically and horizontally following the extraction of teeth is a challenging task for a prosthodontist to deal with. The preservation of ridge can be attained by many techniques including Socket Shield, Pontic Shield and Root Submergence technique all of which comes under partial extraction therapy (PET). This case report describes the technique of preserving the alveolar ridge resorption by submerging the natural teeth roots followed by fabrication of complete dentures over the healed ridge

Abstract: This study was planned with the objectives to assess the nutritional status of females of the age group of 18-25 years, the prevalence and the risk factors and development of educational packages about PCOS. The research work was delimited with the age group of 18-25 years of women's of Bikaner district. A total of 150 females aged 18-25 years were chosen for the current study using a purposive sample technique. One hundred and fifty females between the ages of 18 and 25 were approached, and 30 of them were chosen as having polycystic ovarian syndrome. A survey performa was used to select and categories the respondents, who provided information such as their names, age, gender, current menstrual status, and medical history. Based on accessibility, samples were.....

Abstract: Introduction: Anaemia is one of the main nutritional deficiency disorders affecting a large proportion of the population, not only in developing but also in industrialized countries. The high prevalence of iron and other micronutrient Deficiencies among women before and during pregnancy in developing Countries is of concern and maternal anaemia is still a cause of considerable perinatal mortality and morbidity. The improvement in the industrialized world is due largely to more effective diagnosis and treatment of anaemia.
Aim of the study: To find association between 3rd trimester maternal haemoglobin levels with birth weight of neonates......

Abstract: Aims and Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the post-operative sensitivity in Class 2 resin restorations after two different techniques using VAS. Materials and methods: A total of 50 class 2 composite restorations were conducted on 46 patients during a period of 2 years. The sample was randomly divided into one of two groups and were restored. Group 1(n=25) was restored using injection moulding technique using bulk fill preheated composite(55ºC) and Palodent V3 sectional matrix system(Dentsply®) and Group 2(n=25) was restored using injection moulding technique using bulk fill pre heated composite(55º C) and the Biofit HD Posterior(Bioclear®) transparent sectional matrix and cured from the buccal, lingual and.....

Abstract: A 35 YO old patient without any medical history presented with an acute decreasing of visual acuity inf the right eye without any other clinical signs. Ophthalmic examination revealed a best corrected visual acuity limited to hand movement in the right eye and 6/10 in the left eye. Slit lamp examination was normal and fundus evaluation showed an vitreous hemorrhage grade 4 and Sea fan neovascularizations in the right eye. B scan sonography of the left eye showed a flat retina. An exhaustive etiologic investigation came back negative. Eales disease diagnosis was made considering the bilateral lesions, the sea fan neovascularisations and the controlateral vitreous hemorrhage and thus exclusion of other systemic or ocular conditions that could present with similar retinal features......
