Abstract: Background Aseptic measures during blood sampling should be strictly enforced as identification of the true pathogen can act as life-saving measure in patients. Contamination during collection can produce erroneous results which can lead to unnecessary antibiotic usage. Thus, adequate training must be imparted so that the MBBS students can learn the correct technique and develop appropriate skills. This pre-post interventional study thus assessed the students' and faculties' perception.......

Abstract: Background: Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure (HBP), is a chronic medical condition characterized by persistently elevated blood pressure in the arteries. Although it may not always exhibit noticeable symptoms, hypertension can lead to serious long-term health complications, including an increased risk for coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, peripheral vascular disease, vision loss, chronic kidney disease, and dementia. The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence and severity of hypertension among patients in Rabat, Morocco.......

Abstract: Background: Agenesis, aplasia or atresia of the trachea is a rare congenital anomaly that to date seems to be incompatible with life. Tracheal atresia is a congenital absence of a normal passage that does not imply a particular length of involvement. Tracheal atresia encompasses cases of agenesis (total absence of trachea) as well as varying lengths of tracheal mal-development1. We describe here 3 cases of tracheal agenesis. Materials and Methods: It is a descriptive case series done with three neonates in tertiary care teaching hospital in Department of Paediatrics. Conclusion: tracheal atresia is a rare anomaly and clinicians need to be aware of this condition to provide adequate supportive management at the time of delivery and subsequently.

Abstract: Introduction: Soft tissue sarcomas constitute less than 1% of all neoplasms, with approximately one-third of malignant tumors in the retroperitoneum being sarcomas. Among these, liposarcoma emerges as the most prevalent type. Retroperitoneal liposarcomas with intraperitoneal extension and extension into the inguinal canal are relatively uncommon, presenting a challenge for treatment due to their local aggressiveness and clinical nonspecificity. The clinical difficulty in managing these cases is exacerbated by patients often seeking medical attention late in the disease progression. The slow development and the scarcity of symptoms in the early stages contribute to delayed.......

Abstract: Cellulite is a multifactorial condition present in 80% to 90% of post-pubertal women and is one of the most intolerable aesthetic imperfections. It is a morphological alteration of the integumentary tissue, directly interfering with self-esteem. There are several theories about the pathophysiology of cellulite, and several different therapeutic regimens have been developed, from topical treatments to mechanical or electrotherapy-based devices. In this brief review, we summarize the scientific scenario to determine the clinical evidence regarding the safety and efficacy of cellulite treatment options. Clinical protocols and the author's experience using a combination of external procedures are also discussed. Therapies such as ultrasound and shock waves have shown improvements.......

Abstract: This comparative study was conducted in the outpatient oral and maxillofacial surgery department of the SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital. Twenty participants with chronic or recurrent jaw pain were randomly assigned to either Group A or Group B for the study. IFT and TENS were administered to Groups A and B. They were evaluated for intra-operative comfort, muscle tenderness, mouth opening, and pain over three treatment sessions. Results: Both groups showed improvement in pain, muscle tenderness, and mouth opening after three follow-up sessions. Compared to.......

Abstract: Tissue from amputated or nonsalvageable limbs can be utilized for reconstructing complex defects resulting from tumors and trauma, embodying the "spare parts" concept. Fillet flaps, defined as axial-pattern flaps capable of functioning as composite-tissue transfers, can be applied as either pedicled or free flaps. They serve as a valuable reconstruction strategy for significant defects, provided there is adjacent tissue available.
Toes are particularly susceptible to ischemia due to their limited vascular supply and exposure to continuous trauma from activities like standing and walking, especially when wearing tight shoes. Individuals with risk factors for vascular.....

Abstract: Pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGLs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors that produce excessive catecholamines, posing significant risks during pregnancy. This case study follows a 24-year-old woman with untreated hypertension and Ménard's triad symptoms, initially managed without detailed investigation. Elevated plasma metanephrine levels and imaging confirmed a pheochromocytoma, and though the patient was lost to follow-up for.....

Abstract: Next-generation intracanal medicaments are set to revolutionize endodontic therapy, effectively overcoming the limitations of traditional treatments. Central to their transformative impact is their unparalleled ability to thoroughly disinfect the root canal and drastically reduce microbial load—key factors for successful treatment outcomes. Calcium hydroxide has long been regarded as the gold standard in endodontic treatment. However, recent innovations have introduced powerful alternatives that significantly improve both antimicrobial effectiveness and biocompatibility. These advanced agents not only target resistant bacterial strains with precision but also promote the healing and regeneration of periapical tissues, paving the way for significantly improved patient outcomes. This review offers a comprehensive examination of the various intracanal medicaments.....
