Abstract: Human beings show 2 sets of dentition- deciduous and permanent2. Variation of tooth has been an enduring interest to clinical practitioner as well as from anthropological and forensic point of view7. These variations in the form of teeth are characteristics of race, are of anthropological, genetic and forensic interest.2,7hence studies have been done using teeth for age, sex determination1,8. As existing eruption schedule of dentition is based on western population this study is done in western Maharashtra region to find out variation in time number, form and pattern of eruption in deciduos and permanent teeth as well as in males and females.

Abstract: Background: Ulcero-proliferative lesions are both benign and malignant. They are versatile and can be acute or chronic, solitary or multiple, small in size or large. They occur as a result of traumatic insults, bacterial or viral infections and can also be due to post chemotherapy effects. AIM: The aim of the study is to determine the clinicopathological correlation of various ulcero-proliferative lesions of the oral cavity of north coastal region of Andhra Pradesh. OBJECTIVES: 1. To evaluate various ulcero-proliferative lesions in the oral cavity based on the demographic...

Abstract: AIM: To assess infrazygomatic crest bone thickness at different anatomical sites at a distance of 5mm, 7mm,
9mm and 11mm apical to cementoenamel junction, 70 degree to occlusal plane in skeletal class II patients
using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
Materials and Methods: The sample consists of cone beam computed tomography images of 23 class II subjects
were evaluated. Infrazygomatic crest bone thickness was evaluated at the six horizontal regions (i) interdental
area between maxillary second premolar (PM2) and first molar(M1) (ii) Mesiobuccal root of maxillary first
molar (MB root of M1) (iii) Distobuccal root of maxillary first molar(DB root of M1) (iv) interdental area
between maxillary first molar(M1) and second molar(M2) (v) Mesiobuccal root of maxillary second molar(MB
root of M2) (vi) Distobuccal root......

Abstract: Background: Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) is the most prevalent form of anemia globally, with a significant impact on public health, especially in low-resource settings like Bangladesh. Accurate and early diagnosis of IDA is essential for effective treatment. Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW) has emerged as a promising, accessible diagnostic tool for IDA, yet its utility remains underexplored in this context. Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study, conducted between July 2022 and July 2024 at Addin Barrister Rafique-ul Huq Hospital in Bangladesh, included 106 patients diagnosed with microcytic hypochromic anemia. Key hematological parameters....

Abstract: Background: Bone metastases are a common complication of advanced-stage cancers, particularly affecting patients with lung, breast, and prostate cancers. Palliative radiotherapy is a primary modality used to alleviate pain and improve quality of life. This study aimed to compare the efficacy and toxicity of two radiotherapy fractionation schedules—20 Gy in 5 fractions versus 30 Gy in 10 fractions—in managing bone metastases in a resource-limited setting......

Abstract: Primary pulmonary sarcomas (PPS) are rare types of non-epithelial malignant tumors of the lungs , representing only 0.013–1.1% of all malignant lung tumors. [1,2] Its diagnosis and treatment are challenging, with a poor prognosis [3]. Undifferentiated round cell sarcomas are an extremely rare form of this cancer and have been rarely described in the literature .We report a rare case of undifferentiated round cell primitive pulmonary sarcoma in a young 30-year-old patient.

Abstract: Background: Surgical site infections (SSI) are defined as infections occurring upto 30 days after surgery or (upto one year in patients receiving implants) and affecting either the incision or deep tissue at the operative site. SSIs are potential complications associated with any type of surgical procedure. Even though SSIs are among the most preventable hospital acquired infections, they still symbolize a significant burden in terms of patient's morbidity and mortality leading to prolonged hospital stay and increase the patient susceptibility to other nosocomial infections affecting the financial condition of patients. Risk factors for SSIs are grouped as patient related, preoperative or pre pregnancy, intraoperative or intrapartum........
