Abstract: Melanomas are the most frequent primary malignant tumors of the eye. The oncogenesis of melanomas is not well understood. Ocular melanocytosis and oculopalpebral nevus (Ota nevus) are definite risk factors. We report the case of a choroidal melanoma in a 62 year old patient with ocular melanocytosis and oculopalpebral nevus. She presented for a rapidly progressive loss of vision in her left eye (OS). The patient has been experiencing temporal visual field loss with phosphene and myodesopsias for the past 4 months, which has complicated into rapidly progressive vision decline (OS). Fundus examination OD was normal. Fundus examination OS demonstrated an achromatic elevated choroidal......

L'orthopantomogramme.....

Abstract: Background The posterior fossa is situated between tentorium cerebellum above and the foramen magnum below. It's the vital structure which includes brainstem, optic nerve vii-xii, vertibro basilar vessels and venous sinuses. Children are more likely to develop posterior fossa tumors than adults. Any lesion in this area involves all these structures which makes surgical approach difficult. For these reasons radiological imaging plays an important role. Methodology.....

Abstract: The main objective of this research is to develop a diagnostic system, based on standard or objective parameters rather than non-standard or subjective parameters, which are already being employed by radiologists, for the classification of abnormalities present in mammograms, as benign or malignant. Radiologists differentiate biological behavior of these abnormalities on the basis of visual parameters such as size, shape and boundaries of the tumors. A benign tumor has small size, well-defined margins and homogenous texture, whereas, a malignant tumor typically has larger size, poorly margined and heterogeneous texture. Due to the limitations of.....

Abstract: Ovarian reserve refers to the size of the nongrowing, or resting, primordial follicle population in the ovaries. This ovarian reserve, in turn, presumably determines the number of growing follicles and the "quality" or reproductive potential of their oocytes. Ovarian reserve means the quantity as well as quality of follicles present in the ovary. The total number of oocytes declines with the age of a woman since her birth. Inhibin B secreted by the competent follicles, which have negative feedback on pituitary & FSH secretion occurs , With the progressive fall in follicle number.....

Abstract: Introduction: In Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, achieving precise and accurate intraoperative assessment of bone margins is paramount for successful outcomes. This systematic review aims to comprehensively evaluate the utility and effectiveness of two commonly employed techniques for this purpose: frozen section analysis and the trephine drill extraction method. Methods: A systematic review of literature was done across a wide array of databases, including Cochrane Library, Embase, and PubMed.....

Abstract: Introduction: Urinary tract infections are a common reason for seeking medical attention in the community. The rapid increase in antibiotic resistance among uropathogens is limiting treatment options. Therefore, it is important to have knowledge of the current uropathogens and their antibiotic susceptibility for better treatment of urinary tract infections. Objective: This study aims to find the causative organisms and assess antimicrobial sensitivity patterns for uncomplicated urinary tract infections in female patients at a tertiary hospital.
Methods: A retrospective.....

Abstract: Background: The eighth most frequent gynecologic cancer in the world is ovarian cancer. Due to its advanced state at diagnosis, it is the worst gynecological cancer. Despite being a disease found in wealthy nations, its prevalence has been rising daily in underdeveloped nations like Bangladesh. While the majority of ovarian cancer cases are rare, women with BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 mutations, which indicate the hereditary basis of ovarian cancer, have an increased chance of developing epithelial ovarian cancer. Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the outcomes in women with BRCA mutation & platinum-sensitive recurrent high-grade serous ovarian cancer.....
