Abstract: Ameloblastoma is a benign yet locally invasive epithelial neoplasm, predominantly originating from the enamel organ, remnants of dental lamina, or odontogenic cyst linings. Constituting approximately 10% of all mandibular and maxillary tumors, ameloblastomas are characterized by slow growth, high recurrence rates, and metastatic potential akin to malignant tumors. Histologically classified by the World Health Organization into types such as unicystic, extraosseous/peripheral, conventional, and metastasizing ameloblastomas, recent refinements have introduced adenoid ameloblastoma. Epidemiologically, ameloblastoma incidence varies regionally, with higher prevalence in developing countries........

Abstract: Introduction: During the 1980s, the sole requirement for implant treatment was that the fixtures remained immobile in the mouth for as long as possible. However, in the last decades, there has been an increase in the aesthetic and functional demands of patients, and therefore, the clinical planning must largely aim to meet these aesthetic and functional requirements. This research project stemmed from the need to examine and compare the patients' perspectives on their treatments with the opinions and success criteria outlined by dental professionals.......

Abstract: Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 presented milder clinical manifestations in the pediatric range than in adults. However, with the arrival of the new variants and the beginning of vaccination of the adult population, children have come to represent a higher percentage of hospitalizations. Objective: To describe the care provided at the Municipal University Hospital of Taubate (HUT) by SARS-CoV-2 in 2020 and 2021. Methodology And retrospective cross-sectional study conducted through a survey of medical records of all visits to children under 12 years of age for SARS-CoV-2, confirmed by RT-PCR, from March 2020 to December 2021. Results In total, 198 children were assisted, seven (3.5%) in 2020 and 191 (96.5%) in 2021. The mean age of the patients was 4.7 years in girls and 4.5 years in boys. Children up to four years of age accounted for 56.1% (N=111) of the visits.....

Abstract: Background: Fournier gangrene, is a rare and rapidly progressing disease that affects the deep and superficial tissues in the perineal, anal, scrotal and genital regions. This condition involves the swift spread of severe inflammation and infection along fascial planes, often without noticeable skin manifestations in its early stages. In severe cases involving extensive loss of scrotal or perineal skin, reconstructive options typically include split-thickness grafts, local fasciocutaneous or musculocutaneous flaps, free flaps, use of tissue expanders, or any combination of these. We present a case involving a 47-year-old man who suffered from Peri-anal Abscess which got complicated into Fournier Gangrene and underwent surgical debridement followed by Secondary.....

Abstract: Background: Hydatid disease (HD) is a common parasitic disease which is caused by larval stage of Echinococcus Granulosus. It has various mode of presentation with world wide distribution.it can involve any part of the human body but commonly involves liver and lungs and rarely the brain, heart and other organs. In abdomen,It primarily affects the liver but may involve retroperitoneum. Radio Imaging modalities ultrasonography (USG),computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are highly accurate in detecting hepatic hydatid cyst. It is usually treated by surgical excision with medication iflesion is large and prominent or can be treated conservatively with medicine as albendazole if lesion small and detected early or medicine with percutaneous aspiration if lesion is small to moderate in size....

Abstract: Though the advent and attempt of robotic cardiac surgery (RCS) began on May 7, 1998 at Broussais Hospital in Paris when Carpentier and Loulmet completed successfully the first robotic mitral repair by Mona-DaVinci prototype1, its acceptance and uptake have been slow but fruitful in the Indian subcontinent. obotic surgery has challenged the notorious Halstedian teaching adage of "See one, do one, teach one"This was acceptable during the advent of RCS but with a more widespread uptake it is imperative to form and put in place a structure for training and credentialing to ensure robust standards of patient care and safety.

Abstract: Small bowel tumors are a rare cause of small bowel obstruction. Despite advances in diagnostic modalities, small bowel is notoriously difficult to explore and tumors are often advanced at the time of diagnosis and treatment. We describe the case of a 67-year-old patient admitted into our emergency department for intestinal obstruction due to the presence of two masses in the jejunum that have created an impassable stricture. Surgical resection involving the two masses in the ileum was performed, followed by an end-to-end anastomosis. Histopathological examination of the resected tissue confirmed the presence of a double location of small bowel adenocarcinoma. This report highlights the need for physicians to consider the diagnosis of small bowel malignancy when a patient presents with clinical symptoms suggestive of gastrointestinal malignancy, but conventional endoscopic or imaging investigations show negative results.

Abstract: An acrylic resin complete fixed dental prosthesis with a metal substructure that is supported by implants is known as an implant supported hybrid prosthesis. In extreme situations where a restoration is required for speech, lip support, function, or appearance, this type of prosthesis may be an option. The purpose of this clinical study is to describe the functional and esthetic prosthetic rehabilitation of a hybrid prosthesis-supported in a borderline patient. On clinical examination, an excessive intra-arch dimension with C-h type bone was seen in the posterior region of all four quadrants. This case report indicates that in situations when a porcelain-fused metal fixed restoration cannot be planned because of greater cantilever requirements and increased occlusal loads, implant-supported hybrid prostheses can be a dependable alternative treatment approach.1

Abstract: Background: Periodontal phenotype (PP) is defined by gingival thickness, keratinized tissue width, and bone morphotype. Gingival thickness has been linked to the effectiveness of several procedures, including mucogingival therapy, guided tissue regeneration, crown lengthening, and implant dentistry. There is less literature on how PP affects the result of open flap debridement (OFD). Aim: To determine the effect of periodontal phenotype on the outcome of open flap debridement. Abstract: Background: Caries is an important health problem to overcome because it can interfere with quality of life. In primary school children, the impact of caries can cause a reduction in appetite, thereby disrupting the child's growth and development. In addition, caries causes children's concentration to be disturbed so that their learning achievement decreases. Based on WHO data, 60-90% of children experience dental caries. In Indonesia, the prevalence of caries is still high and serious treatment efforts are needed. The results of Basic Health Research (2018) from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia stated that the prevalence of caries in children aged 3-4 years was 81.5.......

Abstract: Spontaneous rupture of the spleen is a rare and potentially fatal surgical emergency. Symptoms are usually acute, characterized by abdominal pain, hemodynamic instability and altered general condition. However, progressive forms may delay diagnosis and therapeutic management. Spontaneous rupture of the spleen is often due to an underlying pathology: hematological, infectious or tumoral, sometimes idiopathic. Splenectomy is performed in the majority ofcases. We report a case of a 27-year-old female patient with unrecognized hemoglobinosisS-C admitted for sudden abdominal pain with splenomegaly and clinical and laboratory anemia. Confirmation of subcapsular splenic rupture on splenomegaly was established on the basis of CT images, and the patient underwent splenectomy. The outcome was favorable.
