Abstract: Background: The era of science and technology has evolved to such an extent that the use of dental materials tends to miniaturised itself in the past few decades and rest to come. From macromolecules to micromolecules and thereafter nanomolecules has proved to dictate the evolution of dental materials and technology an everlasting phenomenon. The present paper dictates the role of nanotechnology by using miniaturised forms such as nanofibers, nanorobotics, nanodrugs delivery systems, nanoparicles and how it acts at a nanolevel which proves to be advantageous in different conditions. At this way certain challenges which has been faced previously can now be resolved at a nanolevel.....

Abstract: Pulmonary candidiasis is a rare entity predominant in immunosuppressed patients , its true incidence ranges from 0.23% to 0.4%. Its occurrence in immunocompetent patients has been rarely described in the literature and its diagnosis is mainly based on bronchoalveolar lavage We report a rare case of pulmonary candidiasis in an immunocompetent patient.

Abstract: Background – alcohol is one of the most widely consumed substances, and its effects include alterations in the complete blood count (cbc). The primary factors causing these changes in cbc are: myelosuppression , which leads to a slight reduction in all blood cell types, gastrointestinal bleeding, and malnutrition. Individuals with alcoholism may experience moderate anemia, marked by enlarged and structurally abnormal red blood cells (rbcs); a slight decrease in white blood cells (wbcs), particularly neutrophils; and a moderate to severe reduction in platelets......

Abstract: Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is a rare genetic disease characterized by hypersensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) radiation due to a defect in DNA repair. While the increased risk of skin cancer is well documented, ocular manifestations of this disease are less common but can have a significant impact on the quality of life of patients. This article presents retrospective study of 40 eyes of Moroccan patients with XP and significant ocular involvement, highlighting the importance of awareness, prevention, early detection, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Abstract: Introduction: Abdomen being the third most commonly injured organ, represents 20% of the injuries requiring operative intervention. Despite being frequent, the recognition and treatment of life threatening intra-abdominal injuries remains a challenge, and 10% of all traumatic deaths are the direct consequence of abdominal injuries. There is very little room for error and well co-ordination of surgical, laboratory and radiological skill is the key to manage the patients with penetrating abdominal trauma. Materials and Methods.....

Abstract: Eruption failure of the first permanent molar is very rare; the incidence is 0.01% of the population. Adequate occlusal support and facial growth coordination is provided by permanent molars. Failure to erupt leads to an array of complications. It is imperative to diagnose and manage the condition at initial stage. Deeply impacted mandibular first molar cases, the extraction needs delicate technique and in addition requires cautious management to diminish risks of injury to the adjacent teeth, neurovascular bundle and the mandibular fracture. This report summarizes a rare case of impacted mandibular molar treated surgically in a unique way, where in the socket and nerve preservation were carried out simultaneously.

Abstract: Ocular coloboma is due to failure of the closure of the embryonic fissure. It can be can be sporadic, hereditary or associated with chromosomal abnormalities. We present a 12-year-old child diagnosed with unilateral iridochoroidal, crystalline and eyelid coloboma who was referred to our department for a full ocular examination. Ocular coloboma is a rare condition. It is generally located in the inferonasal quadrant. there are some physiopathological hypotheses, but but they are controversial. Treatment is most often conservative. Ocular coloboma is a unique congenital condition that can involve many ocular structures. Early screening helps prevent possible complications.

Abstract: Traumatic finger amputations are the most commonly encountered forms of partial hand loss. The prosthetic rehabilitation of an amputated finger is considered when micro-surgical reconstruction is contraindicated, unaffordable or failed. An aesthetic and functional prosthesis can offer distinct psychological and rehabilitative advantages to the patient. This article presents rehabilitation of a young male patient with amputated right ring finger by fabrication of an aesthetic silicone finger prosthesis retained by a dental implant, osseointegrated over a period of four months. The type of attachment was a custom designed ball abutment attached to a telescopic housing carrying an O-ring. An.....

Abstract: Confounding factors, including preferences for coronary target grafting, reconstruction procedures, medication regimens, patient variances, and post-operative time limit direct comparisons of coronary bypass conduits. Certain aspects of a patient, such as age, gender, drugs, or coexisting conditions, should have an equivalent impact on conduits. When comparing conduits in a group setting, bias is minimized when all patients receive all three comparison conduits, as opposed to some patients receiving only one or none. This study aims at reviewing.....

Abstract: The quest for an appealing smile holds significant importance in today's competitive society, impacting individuals' acceptance and self-esteem. Various factors, including tooth shape, position, and gum tissue levels, contribute to smile aesthetics. As the universal expression of human emotion, a smile transcends cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic barriers, conveying positive emotions like love, joy, and acceptance. Orthodontic treatment, aimed at enhancing dental alignment, must respect biological boundaries to ensure optimal outcomes without compromising periodontal health. This article reviews periodontal interventions necessary before, during,.....
