Abstract: Digital dentistry currently encompasses a broad range of practices, particularly concerning intraoral scanning, 3D printing, and computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM). It has the benefit of making the transition process easier and boosting efficiency by enabling information transfer between physical and digital data. The use of computer aided technology has led to precise treatment planning and management of clinical practices with greater efficiency. Digital technology is an essential part of contemporary dentistry and has a big impact on dental practices both currently and in the near future. Aim: To assess the knowledge, awareness and the use of digital technology in dentistry among dental practitioners and dental postgraduate students.......

Abstract: Background: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and cancers are leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In India, particularly in urban areas like Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the prevalence of NCDs among women is a growing concern. This review paper aims to synthesize current research on the prevalence and risk factors for NCDs among women in this region. The thrust of non communicable diseases (NCDs) and their risk factors among the under privileged.....

Abstract: This case report explores the utilization of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in conjunction with a blood clot for the revitalization of a tooth with necrotic pulp and an open apex through bioroot tissue engineering. Traditional treatment modalities for such cases often fall short in achieving optimal outcomes, necessitating novel approaches to promote pulp revascularization and root maturation. In this report, we present a case wherein a combination of PRF......

Abstract: Objective: In dentistry, grafts are instrumental in promoting tissue regeneration and structural support in various procedures. Materials such as bone grafts, soft tissue grafts, and synthetic substitutes are commonly used to enhance healing and improve outcomes in surgeries. Endodontic surgery uses bone grafting materials more and more frequently these days. This article reviews the most common graft materials used in endodontics and explains the outcomes of these grafts. Materials and method: Database system PubMed, Google Scholar, land research gate were used to extract the articles. Only English language studies were accessed. A Boolean search of the PubMed...

Abstract: Background: Most low-income and middle-income countries across the globe like Nigeria are featuring an increasing predominance of chronic, non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Management of NCDs is a multidimensional construct that focuses on clients' perceptions and evaluations of the treatments and care received while on admission. It is one of the factors that can affect the outcomes of healthcare and client's use of health services. The rise of NCDs is driven primarily by four major risk factors; tobacco use, physical inactivity, use of alcohol and unhealthy diets. The main purpose of management of major NCDs is to reduce the incidence, prevalence, exposure of people to NCDs....

Abstract: Background: Mandibular premolars have been reported with complex anatomical aberrations, making them one of the most difficult teeth to manage endodontically. A thorough knowledge of root canal anatomy is crucial for the successful endodontic treatment this case series illustrates endodontic management of rare cases with extra canals in the premolars. Emphasising the crucial diagnosis and treatment planning......

Abstract: Introduction: Extra pulmonary TB (EPTB) constitutes 15 20% of all TB cases and genitourinary TB (GUTB) constitutes approximately 20% of EPTB cases. Urinary TB is often asymptomatic, but continuous infection can gradually impair renal function by causing destruction of renal tissue and fibrosis during the healing process, leading to obstruction, loss of function and over time a non functioning kidney (NFK). Case Summary.....

Abstract: Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare neoplasms arising from neuroendocrine cells. Incidental appendiceal neuroendocrine tumors occur in 0.2%-0.7% of surgical resection for suspected appendicitis. They often present with nonspecific symptoms, posing diagnostic challenges. Case Summary: A 25-year-old female presented to the emergency room with vomiting, migratory abdominal pain, anorexia, and fever. Initially diagnosed with acute appendicitis based on clinical evaluation and imaging findings, the patient underwent open appendectomy. Intraoperatively, an inflamed retrocecal appendix was found with a......
