Abstract: Uterine and adnexal masses have been a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in women worldwide. The role of MRI in gynaecological conditions has evolved during the past two decades, determining whether a clinically diagnosed pelvic mass is benign / malignant is frequently not possible until surgical exploration and histologic examination are performed.Consequently it may not be possible to decide preoperatively whether conservative or radical surgery is appropriate.Advancements in MRI techniques, such as diffusion weighted (DWI) and dynamic contrast enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) can provide further information to help to increase diagnostic confidence........

Abstract: Bowel diseases as an example, Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are considered to be a long-lasting inflammatory bowel disease that starts in the young adult age even though the etiology is unknown. According to the recent statistics, less than one percent of Europeans and North Americans are prone to have inflammatory bowel disease (1). The proper diagnosis of those patients having Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis is performed by the detection of extensive colitis in the early childhood. (2, 3, 4) It is considered to be life threatening due to infection, cardiovascular diseases, in addition to inflammatory bowel disease cancerpatients (3). The...........

Abstract: Perforation of the root canal system is the second large cause of root canal failure. Failure to seal the perforation defect permits rapid break-down of the periodontium and tooth loss. Hence sealing the defect is paramount. The study was aimed to comparatively analyse the sealing ability and microleakage of different materials as a furcation repair material.Material and method: In current study, Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) Angelus, Biodentine, and RMGIC were selected. Eighty mandibular molars were randomly divided according to the material used for perforation repair. Group I- (left unsealed/not repaired) control, Group II - Biodentine, Group III - MTA Angelus, Group IV - RMGIC. All samples were subjected to orthograde and retrograde methylene blue dye challenge followed..........

Abstract: Curve of spee is an antero-posterior anatomical curve established by the occlusal alignment of the teeth viewed in sagital plane. This occlusal curvature has clinical importance in orthodontics. The development of curve of Spee probably results from combination of factors including eruption of teeth, growth of orofacial structures, and development of neuromuscular system. The effect of variation in craniofacial morphology on the curve of spee has been evaluated, but these studies ignore the simultaneous contribution of multiple factors to the individual variation of the curve. Objective: To evaluate the relationship between the curve of spee and dentoskeletal morphology in different skeletal growth patterns..........

Abstract: Rehabilitation of hemimaxillectomy patients can be challenging to the prosthodontist. Maxillectomy defects result in the formation of an opening between the oral cavity and antrum or the nasopharynx. This results in problems with speech, mastication, swallowing and impaired facial esthetics. The goal of prosthodontist is rehabilitation of missing oral and extra oral structures along with restoration of the normal functions. The obturator prosthesis is commonly used as an effective means for rehabilitating hemimaxillectomy cases. This clinical report describes a technique to fabricate closed hollow bulb obturator for rehabilitation of a hemimaxillectomy patient. This technique aids in control of the bulb wall thickness and weight while not requiring any additional materials or time-consuming steps.

The aim of this study is to ascertain a simplified algorhitm to locate sulcus centralis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: we performed intrinsic cerebrometry and correlational cranio-cerebrometry on 228 RMN images, using CorelDraw 9 for image processing and IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 for statistical analysis. RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS data showed wide variation between absolute values, but constancy of relative values, with a slight, but distinct deviation of upper extremity of sulcus centralis towards occipital pole. In CONCLUSIONS, despite the fact that the only rigorous and definite way to locate projection of cortical sulci on calvaria external surface is medical imaging, we suggest an effective projection of upper extremity of sulcus centralis at a straight distance from Glabella representing 3/5 straight distance between Glabella and Inion.
