Abstract: Safe pregnancy is beautiful voyage ending with birth of two lives. But, some co morbidities can affect this target like hypertensive disease of pregnancy. Hypertensive disorder remains the most significant and intriguing unsolved problems in obstetrics. These disorders complicate 5 to 10 percent of all pregnancies; together they are one of the Deadly triad- along with the haemorrhage and infection that contribute greatly to maternal morbidity and mortality rates (1). Hypertension is diagnosed empirically when appropriately taken blood pressure exceeds 140 mm of Hg of systolic or 90 mm of Hg diastolic pressure (2). Hypertensive disorders during

Abstract: Background: Osteoarthritis, the most prevalent form of arthritis is a chronic disorder of synovial joints in which there is progressive softening and disintegration of articular cartilage accompanied by new growth of cartilage and bone at the joint margins (osteophytes), cyst formation and sclerosis in the subchondral bone, mild synovitis and capsular fibrosis. It is associated with increased risk of mobility disability for those with affected knees being greater than that due to any other medical condition in people aged 65 years. Analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs are the most common agents used in the management of knee osteoarthritis but these only act as symptomatic treatment and do not provide a cure and are associated with serious adverse events on gastrointestinal, renal and cardiovascular systems. The ideal treatment should modify the natural history of osteoarthritis and alter the articular cartilage......

Abstract: Background: Mood disorders are best considered as syndromes consisting of cluster of sign and symptoms that represent a marked departure from a person's habitual functioning and tend to recur, often in periodic or cyclical fashion. Manic and mixed episodes represent the hallmark of what was once termed 'Manic-depressive psychosis' and is currently termed Bipolar I Disorder. Psychotic features are especially prevalent phenotype in Bipolar Disorder and it generally represents a more severe form of illness. Depending upon their appropriateness to the mood, can be mood-congruent or mood-incongruent and can be present in both manic and depressive phase. Impact of psychotic features on the natural history of Bipolar Disorder is determined by multiple factors like age at onset, life events, familiality, etc and can also affect the outcome.......

Abstract: Background: Recalcitrant macular edema is a chronic complivation of retinal vascular occlusive diseases. Various topical and injectable medications have been developed to control and treat the macular edema, including AntiVegf agents and steroids. While the itravitreal injection has the benefit of delivering the drug close into the vitreous cavity, it carrier with it the risk of endophthalmitis. Topical medications are safer and can easily be withdrawn in case of side effects. In this case report we describe our experience in managing a patient with chronic macular edema secondary to retinal branch vein occlusion. The patient was treated with topical Difluprednate 0.05% eye drops with good functional and anatomical response. However, rise in intraocular pressure necessitated withdrawal of this drug and a switch back to intravitreal AntVegf........

Abstract: AIM - To study the role of serum ferritin as a marker for predicting the severity of dengue in children. METHODS - A hospital based prospective observational study conducted from February 2020 to January 2021 in a tertiary care center . 52 children aged between 5years and 16years who were infected with dengue either having NS1 antigen positive or Dengue IgM positive were taken . Serum ferritin was measured on alternative days and other laboratory parameters were taken into account for severity parameters alongwith clinical condition. RESULTS - Out of all the total 52 subjects , only 9 (17.3%) subjects had clinical severe dengue, of which 6 were males and three female........

Abstract: Background : Immediate implant placement in freshly extracted socket gaining popularity because of several advantages. PRF membrane is an autologous fibrin matrix which contain various growth factor which has been used widely for periodontal intrabony pocket, socket preservation . Case summary : The patient was 50 year old female with metal ceramic crown on canine which was mobile. She underwent extraction of canine and immediate implant placement and the gap created between buccal wall of socket and implant was filled with PRF membrane combined with osseous bone graft. Four month postoperatively, the regeneration of bone and soft tissue was visible. Subsequently, the definitive restoration was placed. The patient was satisfied with esthetic outcome.
