Abstract: Blepharophimosis-ptosis-epicanthus inversus syndrome (BPES) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder characterized by orbito-palpebral anomalies. Other ophthalmic manifestations can be associated with BPES including ,euryblepharon, strabismus, microphthalmos, lacrimal drainage abnormality, and optic disc coloboma . We reporttwo case of BPES in both eyes .Referedfor a congenital ptosis reported by their parents . No other ophthalmologic manifestations wasassociated with this syndrome.

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) of prostate in patients with raised prostate specific antigen (PSA). Design and Methods: The studyconducted on 31 patients in Department of Radiodiagnosis in collaboration with Urology department, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, Manipur from January 2021 to December 2022 and analysed for sensitivity and specificity of the test (mpMRI) was calculated to find out its accuracy. Conclusion:Multi-parametric MRI PIRADS scoring in patients with raised PSA levels is an invaluable, non-invasive and feasible option to detect carcinoma prostate with a high sensitivity and specificity besides high predictive values and can help in identifying patients in need of biopsy and also helps in targeted biopsy and characterizing the extent and aggressiveness of the prostate cancer.

Abstract: Aim:To find out the demographic characteristics, co- morbid conditions, clinical course and outcomes among COVID- 19 patients with renal disease admitted at in a tertiary care hospital in north east India. Materials and Method:It is a prospective observational study conducted in the department of nephrology, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, during the period between 1st of March 2020 and 31st of April 2021. All adult patients of both the sexes with COVID-19 infectionwith kidney diseaseswere included in the study. Result:During the study period, out of 2287 patient with COVID-19 infection, 103 (4.50%) patients had kidney disease either at the time of admission or developed later on during hospital stay. The incidence of renal dysfunction in males and females were 62.14% and 37.86% respectivelyand.......

Abstract: Calcifying Epithelial odontogenic tumor(CEOT) is a rare benign odontogenic neoplasm described in 1955 by Danish pathologist Jens J.Pindborg and is now known as Pindborg tumour. It representing less than 1% of all odontogenic tumors. I am reporting a case of CEOT in a 33-years-old male patient with painful bony swelling in the mandible on left side with embedded permanent canine. The clinical, radiographic, and histopathologic features are discussed with relevant references.

Abstract: The American Diabetes Association (ADA) endorsed using HbA1C for diagnosing diabetes and pre-diabetes. HbA1C is commonly used for assessing glycemic control.Normal HbA1c values are 4% to 5.7%.Pre-diabetes 5.7%–6.5%; diabetes mellitus > 6.5%.(1) It depends on both the RBC turnover from the bone marrow and the average levels of glycemia during the previous two to three months. In circumstances of altered erythrocyte turnover, the level of glycemia may not be accurately reflected by HbA1c.A falsely increased HbA1c is linked to diseases that have a limited RBC turnover (hypo proliferative anaemias). One of the causes of hypo proliferative anaemia, hypothyroidism, may induce a misleading rise of HbA1c, leading to a false diagnosis of pre-diabetes or diabetes.(2,3)

Abstract: Hearing impairment is common in chronic kidney disease (CKD)patients. Studies have observed that when diabetes coexists with CKD, the auditory thresholds become still worse. However, certain other studies differ and claim that CKD, Hypertension and Diabetes independently impact the hearing capacity. Hence, there is a need for further studies. The aim of our study was to find out 'whether among CKD patients, there is an association of diabetes on hearing impairment'. If so, whether other parameters confound the association. The design of the study was simple and focussed. It had a large sample. In this study, we had taken care to employ the current and latest definitions and guidelines for hearing impairment, diabetes and CKD........
Keywords: We conclude that routine audiometry must become a part of periodic assessment protocol for dialysis patients and for diabetes patients.

Abstract: Thiel Behnke corneal dystrophy is an autosomal dominant corneal disorder1. It is also known as honeycomb corneal dystrophy1. A 28-year-old male came to OPD with chief complaint of defective vision in both eyes since childhood. On detailed ophthalmological examination, both eyes showed subepithelial irregular gray opacities arranged in honeycomb pattern, suggestive of Thiel Behnke corneal dystrophy.

Abstract: statement of problem: Rapid increase in using digital systems with monolithic restorations had occurred. Either intraoral scanning can produce reliable results or not must be carefully assessed. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the marginal adaptation of implant retained zirconia bridges scanned with the use of intraoral digital scanner with those scanned by the conventional impression technique followed by scanning using desktop scanner. Material and methods: 14 monolithic implant supported zirconia bridges were constructed, either using intraoral scanner (Group A) or desktop scanner (Group B) The marginal adaptation of each specimen was measured with a light microscope at 40X magnification. Paired t test was used for statistical analysis. Results: Statistically in-significant differences were found between the 2 scanning protocols.......

Abstract: Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has inarguably shattered the medical community into bits and pieces. With infecting more than 10% of the global population, it has established itself as the "Disease of the Century." While attempts are being made to control the spread of virus, it can take up to several years to break the chain and put an end to this pandemic. Objective: To evaluate the knowledge among dental students regarding use of mouthwash as a pre-prophylactic rinse to reduce oral viral load among the patients. Methods: The study is based on the reports collected via a questionnaire survey conducted from June 2021 to September 2021 among 300+ dental students from over 5 different colleges in Bengaluru, India. The study protocol was designed with the help of Department of Public Health Dentistry, NSVK Sri Venkateshwara Dental College and Hospital.........

Abstract: Introduction: An acute febrile illness known as scrub typhus is prevalent in many parts of India. Patients with scrub typhus who are not diagnosed and treated in the early stages of the disease are more likely to suffer from acute kidney injury (AKI). Electrolyte abnormalities can also be associated with these patients. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the severity of acute kidney injury (AKI) and electrolyte abnormalities in scrub typhus patients.........
