Abstract: Background: diabetes mellitus is the most common health problem and one of the most challenging.1 Foot ulcers are a common complication of diabetes and represent a major source of morbidity. The incidence of foot ulcers with diabetes is around 2% per year.2 A clinical severity score is considered to be superior to a classification system .A severity scoring system called Diabetic ulcer severity score (DUSS) considering the four clinically defined parameters, namely palpable pedal pulses, probing to bone, ulcer location and presence of multiple ulcerations to outcome this problem, and have found that healing was independently associated with Peripheral arterial disease, ulcer depth & site and ulcer number. Materials and Methods: In this prospective.......

Abstract: Invasive lobular carcinoma of the breast is the second most prevalent subtype of breast cancer. It constitutes 5 – 15 % of all invasive breast cancers(1). Invasive lobular carcinoma may produce intracellular mucin-producing characteristic signet ring cell morphology by pushing the nucleus to one side(2). Carcinoma of ductal origin is usually related to extracellular mucin production. Recently a new rare variant of invasive lobular carcinoma with extracellular mucin has been described(1). In this manuscript, we report a case of invasive lobular carcinoma with extracellular mucin production with an emphasis on clinico-pathological features.

Abstract:Inadequate posterior capsular support during cataract surgery makes it impossible to implant posterior chamber intraocular lens. Leaving the eye aphakic affects the quality of life as it causes high hypermetropia and anisometropia. In such conditions, secondary intraocular lens implantation options are sutured scleral fixation, intrascleral fixation, angle‐supported anterior chamber, and anterior chamber or retropupillary iris‐claw IOLs(1) Scleral sutured PCIOL are anatomically closer to the original IOL resulting in good visual outcome but they are technically difficult to insert and passing scleral needle passes increase the risk of intraocularhemorrhage, suture breakage and endophthalmitis.

Abstract:Dental Implants have been widely used for effective replacement of missing teeth with a greater survival rate for completely edentulous ,partially edentulous and single tooth restorations. There have been revolutionary changes with time in implants variable sizes, shapes, methods, positions of placements.A preoperative assessment holds an important role for evaluation of surrounding structures, vital nerves and vessels .Also the medical condition of the patient should be carefully determined. The prosthetic phase is precedeed by the assessment of emergence profile, angulation of implant and impact of occlusal forces on the implant.........

Abstract:Background: To assess the influential determinants of microbial colonization of oral cavity in term infants Materials and Methods: This study was approved by the ethics committee of the Faculty of Dentistry-Universidad Nacional Federico Villareal and was conducted at the Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal (INMP), Lima-Peru in March 2022. The sample consisted of 30 full-term births and swabs on the palate and back of the tongue 4 and 8 hours after birth. Five culture media were used for reading and identifying microorganisms Results: Eutocic births were female (36.7%). The mothers of the neonates did not receive dental prophylaxis in the last 6 months (76.6%). 46.7% of eutocic births received Exclusive Breastfeeding and were suitable for gestational age (AEG) in 83.4%. Staphylococcus spp was present 4 and 8 hours after birth (p=0.273) and the rest of the microorganisms were absent (p=0.000).......

Abstract: Introduction: Multi Kinase Inhibitors (MKI) like Sorafenib, Lenvatinib are a group of drugs used in the treatment of patients with Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), advanced renal cell carcinoma, thyroid malignancies. The main mechanism of action consists of inhibition of Vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs), Fibroblast growth factor receptors, KIT, Platelet derived growth factor receptors (PDGF), RET.

Abstract:Introduction: Geriatric hip fracture is a common type of osteoporotic fracture with high mortality and disability;Surgical site infection (SSI) can be a devastating complication of this injury. By far, only a few studies identified easily remediable factors to reduce infection rates following hip fracture and less researches have focused on geriatric patients. The objective of this study was to identify risk factors and potentially modifiable factors associated with SSI following geriatric hip fracture surgery. Objectives:The aim of the study is to identify the risk factors associated with surgical site infection in hip fracture surgeries among geriatric population in a tertiary care centre........

Abstract: Background: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is an invasive procedure and produces substantial discomfort to the patient. Conscious sedation is preferred for sedation in ERCP. Most commonly used drug for conscious sedation is propofol. Different adjuvants are also used with propofol as premedication like midazolam, fentanyl, remifentanil, dexmedetomidine etc. Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of dexmedetomidine and midazolam as premedication for sedation in patients undergoing Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Methods: This Randomized.......
