Abstract: BACKGROUND: Seizure disorder is one of the most common treatable neurological disorders of brain. The essential diagnostic evaluation for unprovoked seizure remains source of debate. Only few studies have evaluated the utility of EEG (Electroencephalogram) and Neuroimaging in seizure disorder in clinical practice. OBJECTIVE: To determine correlation between clinical features, EEG findings and neuroimaging (MRI-Magnetic Resonance Imaging) abnormalities in children with seizure disorder. MATERIAL AND METHODS: It is cross sectional, non-interventional, observational study carried out from March 2014 to May 2015. We enrolled children diagnosed with.........

Abstract: As COPD progresses, patients develop more frequent and severe exacerbations. AECOPDs can range in severity from mild to life threatening. A disease specific severity of illness score for AECOPD would serve to improve treatment. It would identify patients who might potentially benefit for early and aggressive use of selected interventions, such as noninvasive ventilation. In this study, we selected BAP-65 score as a predictive tool for assessing the severity and the need for mechanical ventilation or mortality in AECOPD patients. 80 patients were included in the study and grouped basing on the score. Accordingly 9, 30, 24,12,5 patients were grouped under score groups 0,1,2,3,4 respectively. Analysing the data statistically for the correlation between the total score and end points showed..........
Key words: AECOPD, BAP-65 score, need for mechanical ventilation and mortality.

Abstract: Introduction: Huntington's disease (HD) is a dominantly progressive, inherited neurodegenerative disorder characterized clinically by a combination of abnormal involuntary movements mainly chorea, neuropsychiatric manifestations, and dementia. It is caused by an unstable CAG repeat expansion in the gene IT15 which encodes a Huntingtin protein. The characteristics of Juvenile Huntington's Disease (JHD) differ from those of adult‑onset HD, as chorea does not occur in JHD although bradykinesia, dystonia, and signs of cerebellar disorder such as rigidity are present frequently in association with convulsive episodes and psychotic manifestation........

Abstract: This retrospective study was conducted in a peripheral medical college of west Bengal nearly 180 km away from state capital during September 2015 to August 2017 to assess the pathological cause & manner of death amongst burnt female victims coming for medicolegal autopsy. Total 100 burn cases were taken all togther in all age group of female deceased. It was predominantly 65% cases of early death within 36 hrs of onset because of shock either neurogenic or hypopvolumic & 32% cases were septicaemic shock & remaing 3% of other causes like injuries of vital organs. Among 100 cases 54% are from accidents,44% suicidal ,1% homicidal & 1% undetermined.

Abstract:Purpose: To study the effect on intraocular pressure during the bench press exercise in young athletes. Methods: Descriptive study was done. 36 healthy athletes were selected without any preexistent ocular or systemic disorder. IOP immediately before and during the bench press exercise was measured by single examiner. Results: Mean IOP in the right eye recorded before exercise was 13.86.±2.22 mm Hg. The mean IOP measured during the exercise was 21.35±1.85 mm Hg, with p value(<0.001) statistically significant.
Discussion: Significant rise in intraocular pressure from the baseline was observed which was statistically
significant.

Abstract: Colorectal cancer is a dynamically changing disease entity due to multifactorial reasons. The incidence of cancers is much higher in western countries, suggesting environmental and genetic factors. The frequency has been increasing in our country over last few years, possibly related to changing dietary social habits. In this comprehensive study about colorectal malignancies etiopathogenesis, clinical presentation and various treatment modalities were analysed so that patients must be educated about the symptom and etiology of colorectal malignancy and importance of screening in those with family history, in order to get earlier treatment and better outcome.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To report a case of patch graft performed for corneal perforation in a patient with Terrien's marginal degeneration.
METHOD: A young woman presented with sudden painless loss of vision following a trivial trauma to her right eye. On examination, corneal thinning with perforation, lipid deposition and vascularization was noted. Left eye examination also revealed a crescentic thinning with lipid deposition and vascularization. A patch graft was done for the right eye. RESULT: At two months follow-up, graft was clear and her visual acuity was CF2m in right eye with tectonic stable globe.......
