Abstract: The term old age brings to mind , the end of one's productive and fulfilling life. Eric Erikson in his theory of personality has rightly named the old age, the last stage of life span of man, as the stage of matuarity, as it involves certain physicial and psychological changes which in turn lead to personal, interpersonal and other social adjustments. Understanding of this inevitable and essential part of life in BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL perspective is thus needed as this stage in interdependent of previous stages and adjustment in old age is dependent on person's physical, psychological and social interaction. As things stand, the rapid spread of............

Abstract: Aims and objectives:-This randomised observational study was undertaken to evaluate the efficacy , safety and outcome of laparoscopic surgery for perforated duodenal ulcer in comparison with conventional laparotomy and to determine the risk factors which influence the outcome. Material and method: 100 patients of all age attending outdoor (OPD) or emergency with duodenal ulcer suggestive for laparoscopic surgery & open surgery admitted to the hospital were studied. All patients diagnosed clinically with perforated peptic ulcers were prospectively nonrandomized to undergo either conventional open or laparoscopic suture omental patch repair. Results-As regards complications like Fever and Wound infection the frequency of occurrence was more in Open surgery cases as compared to............

Abstract: Peritonitis is inflammation of the peritoneum and/or peritoneal cavity due to localized or generalized infections. Most cases of peritonitis are consequence to the invasion of the peritoneal cavity by bacteria from the gut. The outcome of an abdominal infection depends on the complexinteraction of many different factors and the success obtained with the early onset of specific therapeutic procedures1. It may also depend upon exact recognition of the seriousness of the disease, an accurate assessment and classification of the patient's risks. Early prognostic evaluation of abdominal sepsis is desirable to select high-risk patients for more aggressive therapeutic procedures such as........

Abstract: Endondontic treatment of calcified canal is challenging to endodontists and chances of iatrogenic perforation and treatment failure is more. Recent development in techniques and materials utilized in perforation repair has dramatically improved the prognosis of such troublesome cases.MTA is relatively new material which has shown promising results to repair such defects. The present case report illustrates the successful non-surgical management of an iatrogenic perforation at apical third of root canal using MTA.

Abstract: Surgical OPD have variety of patients. Amongst these there are intra-abdominal lumps, which may be painful or painless and can be symptomatic or asymptomatic and are investigated on their merits. A person with an abdominal mass may suffer an increase in weight and symptoms such as abdominal discomfort, pain, and bloating Abdominal masses are mostly treatable. However, complications may arise depending on the cause of the mass. Abdominal masses can be the result of a number of factors, like an injury, cyst, benign tumor, cancer, or other diseases.

Abstract: A gastrointestinal stoma is an artificial opening in the abdominal wall to divert the gastrointestinal secretions and waste products to the exterior. A stoma can be made in the esophagus (esophagostomy) stomach (gastrostomy), the jejunum (jejunostomy), the ileum (ileostomy), the caecum (caecostomy) and the colon (colostomy). 64 patients were included in the study in which closure of ileostomy was done during the period of June 2017 to August 2018. Out of 64 patients included in this study, early closure was done in 30 patients and late closure in 34 patients. Stoma related......

All data collection and testing were performed in accordance with the National and International practice and guidelines & Measured by qualified Radiation Physicist. All measurement was made at gantry and collimator angle of 0 degrees. The Isocenter, percentage depth dose (PDDs), cross plane and in-plane profiles, penumbra, relative photon output factor (Scp),head scatter factor (Sc),wedge and MLC transmission factor were done. The observation obtained in study meeting all the tolerance values as prescribed by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board.

Abstract: Introduction: iron deficiency anemia is the most common form of anemia. Iron is an essential component of brain growth, myelination, and is required for cell differentiation, protein synthesis, hormone production and fundamental aspects of cellular energy metabolism and functioning. It has also been found that higher hemoglobin levels results in better cns functions. AIM: to assess the relationship between iron deficiency anemia and cognitive function in young adults. Abstract: Metabolic Mapping includes use of MRI and MR spectroscopy in differentiating various ring enhancing lesions like abscess, tumour like glioblastoma multiformae, tuberculoma, radiation necrosis and metastasis.MRI has inherent sensitivity and capability to detect ring enhancing lesions. MR spectroscopy provides information about the chemical nature of ring enhancing lesions by analyzing the presence and ratio of tissue metabolites like NAA, choline, creatine, lactate, lipid etc. Objectives To evaluate the efficacy of metabolic mapping(MRI and MR spectroscopy) in evaluation of brain lesions that shows ring enhancemen.......

Abstract: Congenital muscular dystrophies are a complex group of disorders consisting of two broad divisions, namely, laminin alpha2 chain deficient type and with hypoglycosylated alpha-dystroglycan type. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain reveals white matter abnormalities in the former, whereas both grey and white matter abnormalities in the latter group. There can be overlap of MRI findings. Imaging (CT and MRI) along with clinical-genetic correlation are extremely useful in disease detection and differentiation from other entities in the spectrum.
