Abstract: Today we are moving the libraries close to the user, gone are the days where we expected the users come to the library and use the resources. The Service now is vice-versa and how best we are able to reach the users is the question of the hour. Perception of the users is changed than what the library personnel used to predict. Library has to provide required information to the user as and when the need arises, otherwise the value of librarydiminish , and librarian have to think twice before adopting any new services or tools in the library. In this context this paper addresses the Perception of the faculty using the services in the VS. Dental College Library , Bangalore.

Abstract:In the evolution of management of exstrophy epispadias complex, the recent concept is based on staged operation.
• 1st stage- closure of exstrophy at 3-6 month of age
• 2nd stage-Epispadias repair at school going age(2-3 years)
• 3rd stage- bladder neck reconstruction at the age of 5-7 years
But in almost all exstrophy epispadias complex, despite complete repair, the renal parenchyma undergoes multiple insults and scarring leading to ESRD.So it has been realised in recent years that it is necessary to augment bladder capacity so as to prevent increase in bladder pressure and renal failure.Augmentation cystoplasty has been described using ileum, cecum...........

Abstract:The study evaluated the lung function of both automobile painters and non-painters using peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR).Sixty subjects were randomly selected and divided into two groups of 30 in each group, the first being the test group and the second the control group, with ages rangingfrom 18-55years. Groups were matched for age, height and chest circumference. After being interviewed for respiratory signs and duration of exposure, PEFR was determined using a Mini Wright peak flow meter for each subject in both groups
Pulmonary function marker (PEFR) of the automobile painters showed significant decrease compared with the control group. Also, there was a significant decrease (P<0.05) less value in PEFR of painters exposed for>20years as compared to those exposed for <20years. Exposure to automobile spray paints significantly decreased lung function. Also, duration of exposure has an inverse relationship with PEFR Value

Abstract: CATASTROPHIC APLA (CAPS) is defined as rapidly progressive thrombo-embolic disease involving simultaneously three or more organs, organ system or tissue leading to functional defects. It is characterized by multiple arterial and/or venous thrombotic events, including the microcirculation, occurring in a short period, and can affect any system. This syndrome can occur in individuals with known APS under treatment, or it can be its first manifestation; in most cases, there is a triggering factor that can be identified. In the present case report, patient presented with sudden onset blackening of tip of index finger and big toe of left lower limb associated with continuous pain, ischemic in nature indicating microangiopathy and livedo reticularis.

Abstract: The established importance of Forensic Dentistry for human identification, mainly when there is little remaining material to perform such identification (e.g., in fires, explosions, decomposing bodies or skeletonized bodies), has led dentists working with forensic investigation to identify the deceased individual and the culprit in medico-legal cases. The blood group once it is formed in an individual can't be changed in their life time and dental pulp is protected by the surrounding calcified structures namely enamel and dentin, so blood group and dental pulp use has its own significance in identity. This review discusses about the survival of dental pulp under different climatic conditions.

Abstract: Diseases of gall bladder are not uncommon disorder. Most of the cases with gall bladder diseases admitted in hospitals require surgical intervention. Although gall bladder disease is most often found in women. Gall bladder diseases usually develop in people who are over 40 years of age and overweight. Abnormalities of the gall bladder depend up on the basic etiological factor such as inflammation, congenital anomalies , metabolic andtumors. Cholelithiasis and cholecystitis are common association. Diagnosisof carcinomagall bladder is madehistopathologically rather than clinically .Microscopic examination of every excised gallbladder is mandatory on the basis of information and knowledge, early cholecystectomy in all patients with cholelithiasis and cholecystitis offer best hope of minimising the mortality due to carcinoma of gall bladder.

Abstract: Myofascial pain syndrome is a pain disorder in which unilateral pain is referred from the trigger point in myofascial structures to the muscle of head and neck. The various treatment modalities of it include medications like pain relievers, antidepressant, sedative and physical therapies include stretching, thermotherapy and ultrasound massage therapy. Dry needling is a therapeutic technique which is being widely studied as a treatment for MPS. It is also known as intramuscular manual stimulation or intramuscular needling. This technique uses a "dry" needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle. The goal of dry needling is to alleviate the myofascial trigger point in the muscle, thereby restoring the muscle to its......
