Abstract: The purpose of the present study is to investigate if maxillary and mandibular arch dimensions i.e, arch length, arch width and arch depth have any relation with facial index and cephalic index. Material and method: In this randomized study 100 undergraduate students of age 18 -30yr are selected.Their head dimensions and facial dimensions are measured. Alginate impression of upper and lower arches are taken .and plaster cast are fabricated. From the plaster castintercanine width interpremolar width, intermolar width and arch length are calculated.Cephalic index and facial index are calculated and compared with obtained archratios. Result:The frequency of occurrence of Mesocephalic(MC) (36%) head form is more than Basocephalic (BC)(32%) and Dolicocephalic(DC)(32%).The BC group had higher mean maxillary inter premolar width(IPW) than the DC and......

Abstract: Background- We conducted free medical examination and screening for evaluation of the magnitude of undiagnosed hypertension and proteinuria. Methods- Present study was conducted from August-2020 to April-2021 at Department of General Medicine PDU Medical College, Churu , Rajasthan. Participants were taken through a brief medical history and had their socio-demographic data taken. Weight and height were measured and body mass index (BMI) calculated. Blood pressure (BP) was measured using a mercury sphygmomanometer and urinalysis was done with the aid of dipstick test.....

Abstract: Background & Method: COVID19 has emerged as a global pandemic and a cause of death to a large number of people in many countries. Poor outcomes of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID19) have been linked to diabetes mellitus, but its relation to pre-infection glycaemic control is still unclear. The present study aims to find a relation between HbA1c levels at the time of admission and severity and outcome of COVID19 disease in a tertiary health centre in periphery in India. Our study was conducted at Index Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Indore (Madhya Pradesh) from 15 July 2020 to 15 September 2020. Retrospective evaluation of treatment records of 62 patients was carried out who were admitted to our.....

Abstract: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology marked by symmetric peripheral polyarthritis.Hence it may result in a variety of extra-articular manifestations including fatigue, subcutaneous nodule, lung involvement, pericarditis, peripheral neuropathy, vasculitis and hematological abnormalities. In our study, the extra-articular manifestations develop in 80% of RA factorseropositivitypatients, with duration of illness was 15.6years.Anaemia of chronic disease was found to be the most common extra- articular manifestation.Among others,12% cardiac,18%ocular,24% dermatological,27%Pulmonary manifestation,6% overlap syndromes.Extra- articular manifestations contribute significantly to the morbidity and mortality of rheumatoid arthritis. So careful screening of all patients for extra-articular manifestations may help reduce the same.

Abstract: Background:After recovery from COVID infection; post covid-19 ("long COVID") may occur which presents as a multisystem disease. After starting post-COVID outpatient (OPD) clinic at Medical College, Kolkata, we found significant proportions of patients were returning to seek medical attention due to prolonged COVID symptoms. Prompted by these observations we aimed to analyse post- COVID symptoms in a systematic manner to manage these symptoms better. Materials and Methods:This study was conducted in a longitudinal and observational manner. All patients who followed up in post-COVID OPD at Medical College, Kolkata were assessed were asked to follow up every month.148 eligible patients were enrolled after selecting according to inclusion & exclusion criteria. Their OPD treatment records were analysed for clinical, laboratory, radiological and psychological parameters. Results:Mild and moderate....

Abstract: Aim:This study was conducted to compare the effect of different denture framework materials (Cobalt Chromium (Co-Cr) &Polyetheretherketone (PEEK)) on bone resorption, gingival index and pocket depth in relation to the (abutment and implant)in Kennedy's class II removable partial dentures with posterior implant placement. Subjects and methods:Ten partially edentulous male patients, mandibular Kennedy's class II opposed by maxillary natural teeth or restored with fixed restoration, were selected. Each patient received partial over-denture supported by a single implant in the area of 2nd molar tooth. Each patient received the two types of dentures alternatively. At....

Abstract: Fibromyxolipoma is a rare tumor that is considered as a variant of spindle cell lipoma, it is characterized by extensive myxoid changes and the presence of stellate cells with dentritic process. This report presents a rare case of fibromyxolipoma arising from the palate, which is easily misdiagnosed as soft tissue malignancy. Here we are going to discuss the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of fibromyxolipoma.

Abstract: Sacrococcygeal Pilonidal Disease(PD) has an incidence of 26 per 100000 people and is a source of morbidity to young adults due to the chronicity of the disease and the extent of surgical intervention. Treatment of PD ranges from simple incision and drainage to excision with flap reconstruction. Wound complications and recurrence remain high despite the availability of multiple therapies. Hence it is a challenging disease process to both patients and surgeons. The evolution of treatment for PD was guided by the various theories that were put forth for it's origin. Since it is a disease of young.......
