Abstract: We are presenting a case of 19 year female who was symptomatic since 4-year's forprogressive shortness of breath and 3 months for hoarseness of voice. Physical examination revealed a mid-diastolic murmur. Echocardiography confirmed severe mitral stenosis with severe pulmonary hypertension. Indirect laryngoscopy revealed left vocal cord palsy. She underwent successful percutaneous balloon mitral valvotomy.Improvement in voice quality was noted in subsequent visits.

Abstract: Background: The term "sore throat" is a collection of multiple clinical features like coughing, hoarseness, coughing, tracheitis, laryngitis, and odynophagia that occurs due to endotracheal intubation under general anaesthesia. Ketamine, being an NMDA blocker, may be used in reducing the incidence of POST due to its anti-nociceptive, anti-inflammatory action. Advantages of nebulized forms include avoidance of bitter taste and requirement of lesser volume comparatively. This study with aim to know the efficacy of nebulized ketamine in decreasing POST in patients who underwent endotracheal intubation when compared to placebo (normal saline)......

Abstract: Presumed ocular histoplasmosis syndrome (POHS) can lead to central vision loss with development of choroidal neovascularization (CNV). Herein, we report a case of presumed ocular histoplasmosis syndrome (POHS) in morocco with choroidal neovascularization (CNV) A 34-year-old female patient, previously healthy, presented with 8 months' history of loss of visual acuity in the left eye. On physical examination, the visual acuity of the right eye was 20/20 while the right eye was only seeing "hand motion". Fundus exam of the left eye showed juxtapapillary infiltrates with large macular lesion, and small retinal and choroidal lesions, while the right eye showed no abnormalities. Fluorescein angiography and OCT of the left eye showed evidence of chorioretinitis with probable choroidal neovascularization (CNV). The diagnosis of POHS was......

Abstract: Introduction – Catheter associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) is an unacceptable consequence of fallacious urinary catheter insertion and maintenance technique. Its incidence can be easily brought down by following CAUTI prevention guidelines. Our study aims to evaluate knowledge, attitude and practices of health care workers (HCWs) at SGT hospital, Gurugram. Methodology – A questionnaire assessing knowledge, attitude, and practices towards CAUTI was developed indigenously based on CDC guidelines. This was shared with 189 HCWs (Doctors – 141 and Nurses- 48). Their responses were analyzed statistically....
