Abstract: Deciduous dentition, though temporary in nature has immense importance in a child's development. . Premature loss of primary teeth due to pulpal inflammation may result in the following sequelae1 like loss of arch length, insufficient space for erupting permanent teeth, ectopic eruption and impaction of premolars and many more. But in many children conventional pulpectomies can not be done because of lack of cooperation on the dental chair. To find an effective, safer, simpler, less time consuming, non instrumental technique, requiring minimum expertise for treating pulpally involved primary teeth is very important.

Abstract: Odontogenic Myxoma (OM) is a heterogenous myxoid lesion which is benign in nature and has mesenchymal odontogenic origin. Rudolf Virchow described it initially as myxofibroma in 1863 and was later Thoma and Goldman renamed it as odontogenic myxoma by in 1947.Peripheral Odontogenic Myxoma (POM) is a slow growing tumour with less recurrence rate and no evidence of metastasis. There are very less available case reports about POM. This paper is aimed at presenting a case of POM in maxilla and its management which had similar clinical features like peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG). The patient underwent excision, thorough curettage and peripheral ostectomy was done, closure was achieved primarily. The patient was followed up for one year and no signs of recurrence were seen.

Abstract: objective: The aim of this study was to compare the microleakage of type IX GIC and composite resin restorations in primary and permanent posterior teeth through scanning electron microscope. Methodology: A total of 60 extracted molars (30 primary ,30 permanent posterior teeth) was considered for the study. The samples were divided in to Group IIA-(n=15) permanent posterior teeth with composite restoration and Group IIB-(n=15) permanent posterior with Glass Ionomer Cement restoration. Debris removed, teeth was cleaned, and stored in distilled water at room temperature. Class-1 cavity was prepared and restored. All the groups were analysed under scanning electron microscope for observing the microleakage in both sets of teeth. Data was collected, tabulated and statistically analysed. Result......

Abstract: Background: Postoperative analgesic efficacy of transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block was a component of multimodal analgesic approach among patients scheduled for elective laparoscopic surgeries. Erector spinae plane (ESP) block is a para-spinal regional method that allows the dispersion of local anaesthesia into the interfascial plane between transverse process and erector spinae muscles, attaining a paravertebral spread of 3 and 4 levels cranially and caudally. Aim:This study was done to compare the efficacy of transverse abdominisplane (TAP) block witherector spinae plane (ESP) block for post-operative analgesia in patients undergoing laparoscopic abdominal surgeries. Materials and Methods: This study was done at a tertiary care teaching institute in the Department of anaesthesia at NRI Institute of medical......

Abstract: Background:Tibial pilon fracture is a comminuted fracture of distal tibia. The optimum treatment of this fracture remains controversial, some advocate the use of Open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) to avoid articular incongruence and consequent posttraumatic arthritis and to maximise long term results. Others advocate the use of External fixation with combined limited internal fixation (LIFEF) in these fractures to reduce the soft tissue related complications and blood loss. The purpose of this study is to throw light on the ongoing controversies about the choice of treatment modality. Material and Methods: A prospective randomized study was done on 20 patients treated for closed tibial pilon fracture with Open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) and External fixation with combined limited internal fixation(LIFEF).......

Abstract: Introduction- Subtrochanteric fractures are included among those injuries caused by severe high energy trauma in the younger population, and also caused by trivial fall in osteoporotic bones in the elderly population. The Subtrochanteric fractures account for 10-30 % of all hip fractures to be treated and thus complication rate is high as 20-40% .The Subtrochanteric region lies between the inferior borders of Lesser trochanter extending distantly 5 cm to the junction of proximal and middle third of the femur. The main point of occurrence of these fracture is the junction between the trabecular bone and cortical bone . There are a lot of treatment modalities available for treating the sub trochanteric fractures. In this study two of them will be focused namely Dynamic condylar screw....
