Abstract: Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer related mortality worldwide. The precise diagnosis and subclassification based on small biopsies have direct impact on patient management and prognosis. The 2015 WHO classification of lung Tumors has been published with important changes from the 2004 WHO classification. It includes use of immunohistochemistry, emphasis on genetic studies and new classification for small biopsies and cytology similar to that proposed in the 2011 International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer/American Thoracic Society/European Respiratory Society classification. Objective: To classify lung cancer based on 2015 WHO classification of lung tumour and to assess its therapeutic and prognostic implications in our study...........

Abstract: Elimination of microorganisms from the root canal is the main procedure for endodontic treatment. Cleaning and shaping is not so much effective for reducing bacterial count in root canals. This procedure may fail due to survival of resistant microorganisms in dentinal tubules and canals due to inaccessibility of mechanical instrument and irrigation. Non-toxic Intracanal medicament are capable of destroying bacteria, reducing inflammation and stimulating hard tissue formation which is useful in success of root canal treatment after completion of chemomechanical preparation. The antimicroial activities of medicaments act against obligate and facultative anaerobic bacteria commonly.......

Abstract: The incidence of synchronous second primary cancers (SPC) in patients with squamous esophageal cancer (EC) is reported to be 5% to 10%. The most wellknown sites for SPC are aerodigestive tract organs, such as the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx and lung. The association between SPCs and these cancers can be explained by a process called 'field cancerization,' which arises from exposure to common carcinogenic agents such as tobacco smoke. EC patients with synchronous SPC showed different clinical features and had poor survival due to challenges in providing stage-appropriate treatment. The unexpected diagnosis of synchronous SPC complicates physicians' therapeutic.........

Abstract: A possible role of platelet indices in non-diabetic subjects was explored for its possible association with hematopoietic and renal biochemical indices. Hypothesis was that non-diabetic disease burden is closely associated with change in serum levels of lipoproteins, urea, uric acid, creatinine, microalbumin and hematological parameters as consequence of platelet dysfunction manifested as dyslipidemia, nephrosis and thrombosis. A total of 97 non-diabetic patients out of 225 were analyzed for correlation and contribution of serum sugar, lipoproteins, urea, uric acid, creatinine, microalbumin and hematological parameters with platelet dysfunction as 'pleiotropic risk index...........

Abstract: Cephalohematoma is a collection of blood between the skull and the periosteum, this diagnosis remains rare compared to other collections and cranial masses in the new-born.This report describes two cases of 02 new-borns presenting with cephalohematoma since birth which was initially soft firm to palpation but later became hard and calcified after few months.TheCT confirms the diagnosis and accurate type of cephalhematoma. While the exact incidence is not known, large calcified cephalohematoma is rarely reported in the literature. We discuss here the definition of cephalhematoma, the classifications describe in the literature and certainty's diagnosis of cepalhematoma..

Abstract: Cutaneous tuberculosis continues to be a significant medical problem even with the advent of highly effective anti-tuberculosis drugs. About 9832 new patients were examined over a period of 18 months and it was revealed that 14 patients (0.14%) had cutaneous tuberculosis. Most of the tuberculosis patients (57.1%) were between the ages of 21 to 40 years. Lupus vulgaris was the commonest variant (35.71%), followed by Tuberculosis verrucose cutis (21.04%). Males suffered more than females (1.8:1) and all patients belonged to lower socio-economic class. 9 cases (64.28%) showed evidence of BCG vaccination that failed to protect cutaneous tuberculosis. Mantoux test was positive in 78.57% of cases. Bacteriological examination was negative in all cases. Response to antitubercular therapy was very good in all cases.

Abstract: Background: Lumbar canal stenosis means reduced space available for the neural and vascular elements in the lumbar spine leading to low backache or lower extremity pain. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the key non-invasive test for assessment of lumbar canal stenosis. Studies have been performed to develop the criteria for spinal stenosis in the lumbar spine. However, till date no consensus on quantitative criteria has been made. Imaging with MRI, in our study, can help in formulating a cause and critical quantitative criteria for stenosis that can provide evidence-based recommendations for proper evaluation needed for optimum treatment of clinically suspected patients. Materials and methods: A total of 100 symptomatic cases who were suspected of lumbar canal stenosis, aged between 30 to 60 years.........
