Abstract: This paper addresses the issue of quality of life in the context of health and culture by outlining concepts, health care models, health related quality of life models. This perspective is inherently multidisciplinary and multiparadigmatic. Contemporary concepts of health indicate that oral health should be defined in general physical, psychological and social well-being terms in relation to oral status. The mouth, the principal organ of our ability to express, can be read scientifically as an organ to cure, or symbolically as a part of the body capable of recording and expressing our psycho-emotional experience. Oral health related Quality of life (OHRQoL) is a multidimensional construct, referring to the extent to which oral conditions disrupt the normal functioning of a person. It has become an important focus for assessing the impact on quality of life and well-being of a range of oral conditions along with the outcomes of clinical care such as the effectiveness of treatment interventions. The validity of OHRQoL as a measure of outcome in clinical trials depends in part on understanding the causal processes that link oral conditions to patient-reported outcomes. Developing knowledge.....

Abstract: Aim: This paper is a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials to evaluate the clinical efficacy of papilla preservation flaps with the regenerative biomaterials in the treatment of periodontal intrabony defects. Materials and Methods: A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the clinical efficacy of papilla preservation flaps with the regenerative biomaterials in the treatment of intrabony defects with a search for articles in the PUBMED search site. Study outcomes were reported through evidence tables and a quantitative synthesis through a meta-analysis by using OpenMEE®. Results: Seventeen studies were identified and considered in the literature search for inclusion in the meta-analysis. Among 225 periodontal intrabony defects evaluated at 6 months, 112 were treated randomly by papilla preservation flaps with the regenerative biomaterial......

Abstract: Infantile hemangiomas (HI) are the most common benign vascular tumors in infants. The risk factors are currently well known and the pathophysiology is beginning to become clearer little by little thanks to recent studies concerning the clinical behavior and the triggers of HI. The diagnosis of hemangioma is essentially clinical, however additional assessments may be reveal to be necessary in front of certain forms of HI, in particular in front of a large segmental HI. Currently, systemic beta-blockers, and in particular propranolol, are the first-line treatment for HIs who are complicated or at risk of complications. However, intralesional injections of bevacizumab seem to be an interesting alternative with regard to uncomplicated skin HI. We were able to demonstrate through....

Abstract: Studies have shown that hemophilia, a common inherited coagulation disorder, is more common in blood group O individuals. This cross sectional study was done to evaluate the prevalence of hemophilia in people of different blood groups in Jharkhand state who are registered with the State Hemophilia Society. Main objective of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of hemophilia in patients of Jharkhand having different blood groups. Blood typing of already diagnosed cases of hemophilia A and B patients were done and prevalence of hemophilia was seen in patients of different blood groups. It was found that Prevalence of hemophilia was found to be significantly high (135 cases, n = 364) in patients with blood group O when compared with those with other blood groups and the degree of factor VIII deficiency was also high in this group of patients. The findings of this cross sectional study can be attributed to involvement of complex genetical and molecular mechanisms for which further research has to be done.

Abstract: Introduction: In Bangladesh appendectomy is one of the most commonly performed surgeries usually done by conventional open method. The role of laparoscopic appendectomy is still not well defined in most of the literatures. Although now it is widely practiced but still it hasn't gained popularity here. We have very few comparative data of laparoscopic and open appendectomy. Aim of the study: The aim of this study was to compare between the outcomes of laparoscopic and open appendectomy.......

Abstract: Background: Cardio vascular disease (CVD) is one of the most common non communicable diseases which causes mortality and morbidity in both developed and developing countries. Although there are many other causes of cardiovascular diseases, sedentary life style is a notable cause of CVD. It is revealed that there is higher prevalence of CHD reported in sedentary workers. More than two million deaths each year are attributable to physical inactivity. Aim of the study: The aim of this study was to compare cardiovascular risk factors between sedentary & non sedentary workers......

Abstract: Background:Report the results of laparoscopic cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis in our exercise context, determine its feasibility, its risks, its benefits, and the optimal operating time. Materials and Methods: From October 2018 to September 2019, 159 patients with 0.4 sex ratio (113 women and 46 men aged 48 +/-14.53 years) were operated on for a cholecystectomy with an immediate laparoscopic approach for acute cholecystitis confirmed by ultrasound, as part of the emergency. Results: The average duration of the intervention was 73.49+/-25.11min (range: 30-150). The overall conversion rate was 8%. Mortality was zero. The postoperative complication rate was 0.62% and the average hospital stay was 4.19+/-3.55 days(range.....

Abstract: Objective:To determine the feasibility of the non-operative treatment of acute uncomplicated appendicitis in our work context, its benefits, its risks; as well as monitoring and development. Materials and Methods: This is a prospective uni-centric observational study carried out at Birtraria "Algiers" hospital over a period of one year. We treated 94 patients hospitalized for acute uncomplicated appendicitis and returning as part of non-operative treatment according to well established clinical, biological and radiological criteria. Results: non-operative treatment of acute appendicitis was effective in 97.5% of patients. Only one patient was operated on in the same hospital; However, there is a recurrence rate of 9.5% after one year of surveillance.

Abstract: Background: Obesity and hypertension are one of the major risk factors of several life threatening diseases. The present study was conducted to study the correlation between Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood pressure in school going male children. Material and Methods: We obtained data from 492 healthy school going male children and assessed the correlations between BMI and the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP). The data of male subjects were analysed separately in view of gender differences in autonomic regulation. The relationship between BMI and blood pressure was determined by Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: A highly significant (p<0.001) positive.....
