Abstract: Background : Malaria one of the most complex infectious disease with varied type of clinical presentation and challenge for treatment. In this study few cases with plasmodium falciparum malaria infection are showing Biochemical subclinical hypothyroidism and overt hypothyroidism .Studies of these cases with complete blood count and peripheral smear provide an opportunity to visualise various stages of Malarial parasites infecting RBC and concurrent examination with T3,T4 and TSH provide to know the function of thyroid gland. This Article was written to evaluate the patients with subclinical hypothyroidism for Plasmodium falciparum malaria. Rigorous treatment for plasmodium falciparum malaria parasite may prevent cases from associated morbidity like hypothyroidism. Since there were no studies comparing malarial parasites seen in peripheral smear and biochemical changes in thyroid...

Abstract: Scrub typhus, a zoonosis caused by bacterium Orientia tsutsugamushi. Commonly manifest as acute febrile illness, however atypical presentation with resultant delay in diagnosis and treatment may occur. Multi-organ failure with high mortality in such cases is major concern while dealing with this common disease. Here we are reporting an interesting case of scrub typhus presenting as acute mastoiditis.

Abstract: Globally 8–12% of couples experience difficulty conceiving a child. 1This study was conducted to checkwhether sexual dysfunction ismore in infertile males in relation to normal healthy men through comparingsexual aspects& frequency of sexual problems in both groups. Abstract: Background: Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) is one of the common infective conditions which can cause many complications if not treated properly. Improper use of antibiotic among the common population has led to many drug resistant organisms, therefore it is necessary to study the antibiotic susceptibility pattern before treating the patient with CSOM. Aim of the study was to identify the bacterial isolates causing CSOM and to study their antibiotic susceptibility pattern after an empirical treatment. Materials and Methods: This study was undertaken in a tertiary care center of Ahmedabad, Gujarat with an aim to study the bacterial flora and their sensitivity to a series of antibiotics in cases of CSOM with purulent discharge after an empirical treatment.........
