Abstract: Objective: To screen for elder mistreatment. Design: Observational study. Setting: Geriatric out-patient department of Government Medical College, Aurangabad. Participants: 100 geriatric out-patients. Results- We observe that geriatric abuse is definitely prevalent and on the rise in the Indian scenario too. In this study of 100 cases, two out of three participants lived with spouse or alone, mainly because the children did not want them to stay with them. Neglect (75%), followed by verbal abuse (57%) were the commonest forms of elder mistreatment. Alcohol abuse in the caregiver (15%) was associated with physical abuse. Abstract: Xanthogranulomatous oophoritis is a rare, non-neoplastic, chronic process, by which the affected organ is infiltrated by foamy histiocytes with multinucleated giant cells, fibroblast, plasma cells, lymphocytes and neutrophils, occasionally with areas of necrosis. It is often misdiagnosed as ovarian neoplasm that often leads to hysterectomy. Therefore, a very careful evaluation is important to diagnose the disease, and it becomes an important clinical entity. Very few cases of xanthogranulomatous oophoritis have been reported. We report a case of xanthogranulomatous oophoritis in a 33 years old female who presented with bleeding per vagina and abdominal pain..

Abstract: Summary: Premacular hemorrhage is a rare source of painless vision loss. The blood is believed to accumulate in the potential space under the internal limiting membrane especially for Valsalva related instances, or between the internal limiting membrane and hyaloid face.In this report, we describe 2 cases of successful use of Nd:YAG laser in the treatment of premacular hemorrhage due to Valsalva retinopathy. In both cases we were successful to use the Nd:YAG laser to drain the premacular hemorrhage . Nd:YAG laser treatment offers a simple, relatively safe, non-invasive treatment option for drainage of premacular hemorrhage.

Abstract: Background. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic progressive disease condition which results in significant morbidity, premature death and increase economic burden to any health care system. Worldwide about 5 million DM related deaths in person aged 20-79 years were recorded in 2015, which is equivalent to a person dying every 6 seconds from DM. This makes DM more deadly than the combine deaths from HIV/AIDS , Tuberculosis and Malaria. Despite the high and rising prevalence of diabetes with its associated morbidity and mortality, access to and quality of health care for patients with diabetes is very low in developing countries, leading to compromise quality of life and premature deaths. AIM: To determine the......
