Abstract: Disease of maxillary anterior teeth resulting from any injury is a relatively common event. These teeth should be properly managed to improve long term success rate and better prognosis. Recently in many literature Mineral trioxide aggregate(MTA) has emerged as a biocompatible material that stimulate peri-radicular tissue repair at the root end region. In this article, we present a case report of management of big cystic lesion in relation to the apex of the maxillary anterior teeth. Root canal treatment was followed by resection of root end of tooth at the apex level and sealed with Mineral trioxide aggregate(MTA). Ten month follow up , both clinically and radiograph shows excellent prognosis

Abstract: Asthma is a common respiratory disease characterised by chronic inflammation of airways leading to reversible airway obstruction. Inhalation therapy forms the mainstay of treatment of asthma. Inhaled medications are available in various dispensers which includes metered dose inhaler, dry powder inhaler, nebulizers etc. Adherence to inhalation therapy has direct relationship to the treatment outcome of asthma and it requires proper understanding by the patientabout the modality of treatment they receive. Various patient related factors has shown to affect the........

Abstract: Context: Taxane (Paclitaxel and docetaxel) are microtubule inhibitors, extensively used for breast carcinoma. Chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy not only leads to discomfort but the severity of neuropathy leads to disability resulting in significant loss of body functions, compromising the Quality of life (QOL) of patients. Objective: The aim of the study is to evaluate the severity of symptomatic TIPN and corroborating it with patients QOL. Material and Methods: 31 newly diagnosed cancer patients were selected scheduled to be treated with taxane monotherapy with 3 weekly regimens for 6 cycles with standard dosage (175-200mg/m2). Evaluation was done in 3 phases, i.e., before, after 3rd......

Abstract: Background- Chronic Hepatitis B is an important global health problem, with more than 350 million individuals affected worldwide. Its prevalence in india and many other parts of the Asia pacific region is quite high. More than 10,00,000 indian children run a lifetime risk of becoming chronic barriers and about 1,00,000 indians die from HBV complications annually. A decision analytical model estimates that in India, vaccination would save 25 lives per 1lakh population per year. Hence the present study has been conducted to know the awareness of nurses about this disease as they constitute people at major risk for HBV infection. Abstract: Introduction: Long standing duodenal perforation presenting as retroperitoneal abscess. Case Report: We report a case of 60 year old female of sealed duodenal perforation presenting as retroperitoneal abscess. CECT abdomen revealed abscess in paraduodenal, paraaortic and paracolic gutter. On pus culture it came out to be E. Coli positive. Endoscopy revealed healing ulcer in posterior duodenal wall. Patient was treated conservatively using percutaneous drainage and IV antibiotics. Conclusion: Any reteroperitoneal abscess of unknown origin should include CECT and upper GI endoscopy to rule out duodenal perforation as its cause.
Key Words: duodenal perforation, reteroperitoneal abscess.

Abstract: Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1)is involved in extracellular matrix remodeling whichis considered to be a marker of regulation of matrix metalloproteinase activity. Methods– An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay prior to a radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) procedure was used for measuring the serum level of TIMP-1 in 210 patients: 80 patients without history of atrial fibrillation (AF) and 80 patients with idiopathic AF (paroxysmal AF – 30, persistent AF – 32, long-standing AF – 35 and permanent AF – 33). Their relationship with intraoperative efficacy and recurrence of AF was evaluated throughout the observation period........

Abstract: Non-communicable diseases are silent killers and it is one of the four mortality rate from other conditions. Communities are striving to cease up the problem via engaging in physical exercise; and on the other continuum persons struggle to advance their life style. Thus, physical exercise should be accustomed by the individual if not prohibited by health conditions of the person; however the physiological and cognitive health is affected by non-communicable diseases; type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension. The intent of this paper was to compare the exercise prescriptions for type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension in Hawassa town Hospitals and gymnasiums. To manipulate......

It affects Micro as well as Macrovascular arrangement of the diabetic patients. Microvascular complications are most serious life condition in which Microvascular ocular complications are sight threatening. Many other ocular complications are seen in peoples with diabetes. The aim of study was to "Calculate prevalence of various types of ocular complications in diabetic peoples". Abstract: Introduction: Seizure duration at electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) has been a focus of clinical and research attention for decades. Seizure duration is monitored at every ECT session and is used as reference for stimulus dosage adjustment. The current retrospective analysis focuses on the relationships between seizure duration and seizure threshold at ECT and impact of duration of illness in both old and new cases. Aim: The aim of the study is to assess the relation between seizure threshold , duration of seizure and duration of illness. Methods: This is a retrospective study conducted at Government Hospital for Mental care, Visakhapatnam. The sample includes 60 subjects.......

Abstract: In a developing country like India, the estimated annual burn incidence is approximately 6-7 million every year. The high incidence is attributed to illiteracy, poverty and low level of safety consciousness in the population at large. The incidence of upper extremity burns constitutes a major chunk amongst them. In addition to physical disabilities the burn patients suffer psychologically and are unable to take, their proper place in the society. The non -utilization of their abilities is loss to the family, community and country. Help from any conceivable quarter for their.......

Abstract: PRF is a second-generation platelet concentrate and can be distinguished in P-PRF (Pure Platelet-rich fibrin) and L-PRF (Leukocyte and Platelet-rich fibrin). An evolution of L-PRF is the injectable PRF (i-PRF). In vivo, during the platelet clot formation, platelets are bound to β-integrin fibrin and the clot retracts itself. The PRF clot forms a solid fibrin matrix, displaying a complex tridimensional architecture. Measuring the levels of PDGF-BB, TGF-1β and IGF-1, in the PRF matrix, it was revealed that slow fibrin polymerization during PRF elaboration leads to the intrinsic......
