Abstract: Background: Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a disorder of the clonal hematopoietic stem cells, characterized by presence of the Philadelphia chromosome t(9;22). It is the most common myeloproliferative neoplasm among adults. With the availability of various Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors, survival probability of CML in early phase is equal to that of general population. In this study we present the demographic, clinical, hematological and treatment pattern among CML patients diagnosed in a tertiary hospital. Materials and Methods:......

Abstract: Among the most common causes of chronic respiratory diseases is nasal polyposis. The goal of treating severe allergy rhinosinusitis of polyps is to limit the disease progression as well as the local immune function of the mucous membrane. This is accomplished through the removal of polypoid mucosa from all sinuses via workable functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), followed by steroid suppression of the local immune response. Budesonide nasal douching was recently introduced for the postoperative management of individuals with allergic rhinosinusitis. Many physicians are beginning to accept this procedure's therapeutic effectiveness and safety. The potency of budesonide nose irrigation in postoperative.....

Abstract: Introduction Abdominal cavity masses are often non palpable, deep seated and margins of these lesions are often undetached which makes it difficult to assess their size and shape. Ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration is a safe, rapid, accurate and simple technique which can be used for cytological diagnosis of abdominal, pelvic masses and also for the confirmation of the suspected malignant masses in various locations. Material And Method This retrospective study was carried out in the Department of Pathology , RNT Medical College Udaipur , for a period of one year and three month (15 months) and involved 53 cases with clinically or ultrasonographically diagnosed abdomino-pelvic and neck masses .....

Abstract: Background Renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the most prevalent form of kidney cancer, accounts 3% of all cancer cases. Treatment of the patient depends on the early detection of malignant tumors and their distinction from their benign equivalents. With its rapid scanning times and ability to reformat, multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) has become an essential technique for the identification and characterization of renal masses. Materials and Methods The present study is a cross-sectional, observational study undertaken to assess the role of MDCT in characterization of the renal masses with patients being referred with suspicion of renal mass to the department of......

Abstract: Background: As MRI allows for direct visualization of the rotator cuff tendons, their tears and abnormalities, their relationship to the underside of the acromion, and their relationship to the labrum, acromioclavicular (AC) joint as well as labro-ligamentous complex tears. Shoulder MRI is now regarded as the gold standard among imaging methods to diagnose the cause of shoulder pain. Materials and Methods: The present study was descriptive cross sectional study under taken to evaluate the role of MRI in the determining the causes of shoulder pain in a tertiary.......

Abstract: Background:It is now almost accepted that the disturbance of lipid metabolism may help to develop gallstone disease. Therefore, an increased Lipid profile may be a good predictor for developing gall stones, especially cholesterol stones. Aim of the Study: To find the association between gallstones and serum lipids. Methods: All patients diagnosed with gallstone diseases were enrolled by purposive sampling. After that, they were scrutinized according to eligibility criteria, and 150 patients were finalized in the Department of Surgery at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, Rajshahi, Bangladesh, from September 2018 to August 2019. Besides, 150 medical staff and patients' attendance with age and sex matches were considered a control group. A pre-tested, observation-based, peer-reviewed data collection sheet was prepared before the study. Data regarding clinical, biochemical, and surgical profiles were......

Abstract: Introduction: Overweight and obesity are stated as excessive fat accumulation that may harm health and they are prime nutrition-related complaint. The extensive increase in its prevalence in current years and its association with reduced life expectancy has made obesity one of the most vital public health problems. The aim of the study was to understand the relationship between serum lipid profile with body mass index (BMI). Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out in the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry, Rangpur Medical College, Rangpur from January 2013 to December 2013. A purposive sampling technique was followed. A total number of 90 people from 18 to 45 years old were included in the study, categorized into three groups, such as Group-A:(Control.....
