Abstract: Bronchoscopy or tracheobronchoscopy is life-saving procedure, especially in paediatric patients where foreign bodies are commonly encountered in the airway. Method In demonstrating the importance of this procedure, 4 cases in a series were used, who were clinically suspected to have had foreign bodies in the airway. Each of these cases had tracheobronchoscopy to identify foreign body. Result 4 cases were involved, 3 males and one female. Foreign......

Abstract: Objectives: To assess the accurecy of fluorescence-based intraoral camera in relation to ICDAS II for diagnosis of occlusal surfaces. Methods: Twenty patients (9-12 years) were enlisted for this trial, using their permanent first molar to obtain 80 teeth involved in the study. Soprolife (DSL) was examined 400 point in (the lingual and buccal fissure regions, as well as the central, distal, and mesial portions of the central fissure) for each tooth. Then, the measurements were compared in reference to visual assessment method (ID) according to international caries detections.....

Abstract: Introduction: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a magnetic resonance (MR) imaging technique that measures the magnitude and direction of water diffusion along three principle eigenvectors (x, y, and z), as well as provides insight into the microstructure of both grey and white matter. Imaging in the field of epilepsy surgery remains an important tool in identifying regions where the seizure focus may present as a resectable area and is especially helpful in children with temporal lobe epilepsy. Materials and Methods: The present study is a cross......

Abstract: Background: Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a magnetic resonance (MR) imaging technique that helps to characterize the orientational features of the diffusion of water molecules. It measures the restricted diffusion of water in tissues to produce neural tract images, which help in the identification of pathological and normal-appearing areas in the brain. Tractography helps to show the orientation and association of white matter fibre tracts (WMFT) even in the presence of brain edema, along with their displacement, infiltration,and/or disruption..........

Abstract: Background: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is commonest endocrine disorder among females of reproductive globally. Stein and Leventhal 1st described PCOS in 1935. The prevalence of PCOS ranged between 5% to 15% based on the diagnostic criteria. Existing literature on the hormonal profile is PCOS is less. Hence the current study was undertaken. The objective of this study to is know the hormonal profile in PCOS patients when compared to normal or healthy controls. Materials and Methods: This case-control study was done at a tertiary care center among 100 subjects in the department of Biochemistry at Kurnool.......

Abstract: This is an experimental study focuses on the analysis of liver tissues as depicted in CT images using textural features properties to analyze the tissues, it was conducted at the College of Medical Radiologic Sciences in the period from September 2019 to October 2022 after approval of the institutional review board. The data were collected randomly from CT images for abdomen where the liver included in the field of view. The sample includes 60 cases (30 for each class). The liver should represent one of the three classes under the study, the data were taken from male and female, their age should be above 40 and less than 60 years. Diabetic, hypertensive patient and Bilharzias patient were excluded. The data were analyzed using Interactive Data Language (IDL, Version 7.1......

Abstract: Background: Chronic diseases like liver cirrhosis and its complication are a major health problem particularly in developing countries. Burden of cirrhotic patients is ever increasing and most of the patients are admitted to hospital with complication of cirrhosis. In India most, common cause of cirrhosis are alcohol abuse and viral hepatitis.Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) in patient with liver failure is associated with poor prognosis and higher mortality.Zinc has a protective role against fibrosis by preventing the cellular damage by oxidative stress and hypozincemia seems to accelerate the manifestation of cirrhosis. We carried out this study tofind serum zinc levels in decompensated liver disease...
