Abstract: Objectives and Background:To describe clinical outcomes and prognosis i.e overall survival and relapse in the patients with paediatric B cell ALL (pBALL )with respect to minimal residual disease detection on day 15, day 29 and post consolidations in a tertiary care centre in eastern India. Minimal Residual disease (MRD) refers to the presence of disease in cases deemed to be in complete remission by conventional pathologic analysis. Prognostic importance of MRD in paediatric ALL is well accepted all over the world. This is the study where 8 colour flow cytometry (FCM) is used to detect MRD to assestreatment, diagnosis and prognosis of BcellALL. Method:Our Study had been running.....

Abstract: The advances in digital imaging systems combined with the availability to register CBCT data with digital models had made possible in fabrication of orthognathic surgery, CAD/CAM designed splints ,customized brackets ,and indirect bonding systems. Thusstereo lithography is used in wide range of dentistry, which helps in creating asymmetries ,fabricating, coating and land marking synthetic mandible. This article describes about stereo lithography and its application in various fields of dentistry.

Abstract: Introduction: All medical procedures involve some complications, even when they are performed by experts. The rate and severity of these complications depend on patient's state of health, age or general lifestyle. Even though the use of general anesthesia is considered safe, but it comes with certain complications. The risks of unexpected and potentially life threatening complications such as hypersensitivity or severe heart or lung problem can make the surgery difficult. Aim of the study:The aim of this study was to evaluate thecomplications of general anesthesia in different surgeries.

Abstract: Background: After myocardial infarction, inflammation is the important key factor involved in cardiac remodelling. Continuous activation of inflammatory markers like interleukins and tumour necrosis factors will leads to myocardial damage which ultimately results in heart failure. Very few studies have been done so far in relation to various inflammatory markers in relation to left ventricular function in cardiac patients. Aim: To determine serum levels of interleukin-1β, interleukin-2, interleukin-6, interleukin-8, interleukin-10 and tumour necrosis factor-α inrelation to left ventricular function in cardiac patients. Methods:We studied 229 cases of CVDs who were enrolled at Cardiology and Medicine at a tertiary care hospital, Mumbai. We further categorized above.......

Abstract: Renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) metastasize to the adrenal glands via various mechanisms, including lymphatic vessel ,arterial embolism and retrograde venous embolism. The rate of ipsilateral metastasis is 3-5% and the rate of contralateral metastasis is ~0.7%, however, synchronous bilateral adrenal metastases are extremely rare. Therefore, the optimal diagnosis and treatment strategy for this condition is yet to be thoroughly defined.Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common malignancy with high metastatic potential, primarily due to its extensive vascularity. Common sites of metastasis include lungs, bone, lymph nodes, liver, and brain. However, rare cases of metastasis to other sites including inguinal lymph nodes, peritoneum/mesentery, and orbit have been published in the literature. Here in is a rare case involving metastasis of RCC to the soft palate is presented. In the present study, a 39-year-old male patient presented with left flank pain and hematuria. Ultrasonography (US) revealed a left renal mass.......

Abstract: Introduction: Allergic Rhinitis is considered to be one of the most common diseases affecting a wide range of people barring age. Approximately 20% of adults and children have seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis. Allergic rhinitis patients often suffer from like asthma, sinusitis ,otitis media and decreased hearing. So we decided to do study of eustachian tube function and middle ear ventilation in patients of allergic rhinitis. Aims:The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of allergic rhinitis on Eustachian tube function (ETF) and middle ear ventilation......

Abstract: Background: Gallstone disease is the most common biliary pathology and is a major health problem worldwide. Gallbladder cancer is the most common malignancy of the biliary tract but extremely variable by geographical region and racial ethnic group. Material and Methods: A total of 120 resected cholecystectomy specimens with gallstone received during the period of six months were included. Clinical details and other relevant information were collected from the records. Statistical correlation was calculated using chi-square test and p value was calculated. value of p<0.05 was considered statistically significant....

Abstract: Mucoceles are benign, mucus-containing cystic lesions of the minor salivary glands. These are not true cysts while most of them lack an epithelial lining. Most commonly the lesion occur in the lower lip. This case report presents two cases of mucocele on the lower lip. This lesion was diagnosed based on Clinical finding , history, and histopathological examination. The expurgation of the lesion was planed using diode laser and surgical excision method using scalpel blade.

Abstract: Background: The variations of the uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1) gene has been reported as risk factors associated with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. Among UGT1A1 polymorphisms, the 211G>A, promoter A(TA)nTAA and c.-3279T>G mutations are common in Asian population. However, studies on frequency and co-expression patterns of these variants in Indian Malaysian newborns with significant hyperbilirubinemiaare limited. Objective: This study aims at determining the frequency pattern of 211G>A, promoter A(TA)nTAA and c.-3279T>G mutations in Indian Malaysian newborns with significant neonatal hyperbilirubinemia (SigNH). Methods: A total of 1121 hyperbilirubinemic......

Abstract: Cyst within breast parenchyma is fluid filled epithelial lined cavities that vary in size from microscopic to large palpable masses [1]. The term "blue dome cyst" was first employed to designate a benign cyst filled with straw-colored fluid that showed a blue color when cut down on [2]. Breast cyst are usually small and multiple, Here we present a case of a large cyst in the right breast measuring about 15x10 cm clinically and containing about 500ml of fluid measured intra-operatively in a 60 year old. A Bluedome cyst of bloodgood this large has been rarely reported in this age group. Fewer than 5% of cysts occur in women over the age of 60 years [3].

Abstract: Background: Preoperative medication of patients undergoing ambulatory operations in oral surgery is a serious problem widely studied over the years. However, in practice there are many situations in which some difficulties can be encountered. This study attempts to clarify this problem by outlining clear guidelines for clinical management. Materials and Methods: Indirect observations were performed in 98 cases for the period from 2017 to 2019. We had done full preliminary blood and urine tests. They were recorded and arranged all indicators according to their groups. We recorded also patient's preoperative status and functional evaluations using the SCI gen scale (MIT) were done. Abstract: Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) pose a major health problem worldwide and even more so in the developing countries like ours. Due to the lack of adequate laboratory infrastructure in the country, information regarding the profile of STIs relies essentially on syndromic diagnosis. Knowledge about its current patterns is very essential to formulate an effective control strategy, particularly in a resource constrained country like ours. Aims: to study the patterns of STIs in patients attending the STI clinic of a tertiary care hospital using a syndromic approach. Materials and Methods: A retrospective analysis of the data of 1200 consecutive STI patients attending STI clinic from January to June 2019 was carried out. The demographic data of all cases, the syndromic diagnoses and the laboratory reports for.....
