Abstract: BACKGROUND: Haemorrhoidal disease is one of the most common anorectal disorders, affecting more than 15 million people annually in the United states .(1)The prevalence of haemorrhoids is projected at between 4% to 34%. Open haemorrhoidectomy [Milligan-Morgan] is a widely used procedure for haemorrhoids. A recent novel technique called "Stapled Haemorrhoidectomy or Stapled Haemorrhoidopexy" as first described and performed by Italian surgeon Antonio Longo [2] is gaining worldwide recognition for its benefits. ]. The aim of this study is to compare the outcomes of the stapled haemorrhoidopexy and open haemorrhoidectomy. MATERIAL & METHOD: Forty patients with symptomatic haemorrhoidal disease planned for surgical technique were randomised into 2 groups . one......

Abstract: Covid-19 refers to "Coronavirus Disease 2019", the disease caused by a virus in the Coronaviridae family, SARS-CoV-2. This infectious disease is a zoonosis, the origin of which is still debated, which emerged in December 2019 in the city of Wuhan, in Hubei province in China. It quickly spread, first throughout China, and then abroad, causing a pandemic. Covid-19 is a respiratory disease that can be fatal in patients who are frail by age or another chronic illness. It is spread through close contact with infected people. The disease could also be transmitted by asymptomatic patients. Current scientific data is very uncertain

Abstract: Suicidality is a complex issue. It turns out to be heterogeneous on both levels; clinical, psychopathological and therapeutic. In a prospective study on a population of 1,165,170 inhabitants for two years "from 2012 to 2014" we recorded 503 cases of suicide attempts, an average annual incidence of 21.77 per 100,000 inhabitants. For women 32.58 per 100,000 inhabitants, while for men it was 10.98 per 100,000 inhabitants. The two most affected age groups are [15-19] and [20-24]. As well as sleep disorders, found in 51.9% among suicide attempt cases, considered to be a risk factor for committing suicide......

Abstract: Background: Benign lesions of larynx are not uncommon they are significant in that they produce wide range of symptoms ranging from change in voice to lifethreating stridore .These lesions can occur in any age group but has a higher incidence in 20-40 yrs age. Both cold instruments and powered tool are use in management of these lesions various powered tools available for surgery are micro debbridor, coblation, radiofrequency and laser. All aiming to improve results and, reduce operative time, morbidity and complications. The aim of this study the merits and demerits of coablation in management of benign laryngeal lesions METHODS:A study of 30 patients aged between18-70 yrs who attended our out patient department with complaints of hoarsness of voice regularly at our secondary care centre from jan 2015 until Aug. . . Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic is not the first, and certainly not the last to fiercely hit the world. History is replete with such events. The last two decades of this millennium have already made us confront severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV), Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), avian flu, HINI flu pandemic and SARS-CoV-2 - all of which saw these causative viruses spread quickly and causing widespread havoc. The 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19; previously known as 2019-nCoV) outbreak that originated from Wuhan, Hubei province, China, at the end of 2019 was declared a public health emergency of international concern on Jan 30, 2020, by WHO.As a newly appearing infectious disease, COVID-19 garnered great research interest. 210 Countries....

Abstract: Microbial keratitis is a potentially vision threatening condition that requires prompt diagnosis and treatment to prevent untoward outcomes. Here we describe the successful outcome of DALK performed for a case of fungal keratitis unresponsive to medical treatment.A 38 years old man who presented to us with fungal keratitis was started on topical antifungal treatment. There was no significant improvement after 1 month of treatment. Since the infiltrate was extending upto deep corneal stroma but not upto Descemet's membrane, heunderwent Deep lamellar keratoplasty.....

Abstract: Chronic leg ulcers is ubiquitous problem of varied etiology. Chronic venous ulcer account for 70-90%. Ulcer healing rates can be poor with upto 50% of venous ulcers turning into nonhealing with one third recurrences. Several growth factors have been explored as wound healing agents. EGF plays a essential role in wound healing by stimulation , proliferation and migration of keratinocytes , endothelial cells and fibroblast – epidermal and dermal regeneration.

Abstract: Acetabular injuries are complex and prognosis is guarded. For displaced acetabular fractures, aggressive surgical treatment is needed for optimal functional outcome and proper operative approach is very important for fracture exposure and reduction. . Since the introduction of the Stoppa approach the enthusiasm of use of this approach has increased in recent times. The aim of our study is to assess the outcome and effectiveness of this approach in treating (select) Acetabular fractures. Materials And Methods: A total of 12 acetabular fracture patients who were admitted from March2017 to October 2019 were enrolled into this study. 6 patients had anterior column fractures, 2 patients had Transverse fracture, 2 patients had a T-type fracture, and 2 patients had a double column fracture. After stabilization, operation was performed as early as possible; open reduction and internal fixation by Modified Stoppa approach was performed......
