Abstract: Pulp Revascularization is the procedure to re-establish vitality in a non vital tooth to allow repair and regeneration of tissue. Revascularization will allow further development of root and dentin structure with a better long term prognosis. It is favored when apical foramen is not completely formed and the apical diameter exceeds 1mm..

Abstract: OBJECTIVE: This study was an evaluation of clinical presentation, the outcome and the efficacy of Prazosin in scorpion sting envenomation at Nalanda Medical College Patna Bihar, India. METHOD:A total of 120 children were studied prospectively. The data include, demography, the time of presentation, clinical features, premedication before the arrival at this hospital, response to prazosin and the hospital outcome. RESULT:Local pain at the site of the stings, sweating and peripheral circulatory failure were the common clinical presentations. Complications like acute pulmonary edema, myocarditis, shock & encephalopathy were also seen. These were treated with oral prazosin with either inotropes or vasodilators. Mortality was seen in 8 (6.6%) children. The mortality was higher among those patients who had taken pre-medications with anti-histamines and steroids......

Abstract: Background: Pyogenic infections are still a frequent and serious problem in clinical practice. Knowledge of pathogens causing these infections and their sensitivity patterns can be helpful in selection of appropriate antimicrobial therapy. Hence periodical monitoring of bacterial profile and their antibiotic susceptibility pattern is important. Objective: To know the spectrum of pyogenic bacteria isolated from pus samples and to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of the isolates. Material and Methods: This study was conducted from January 2018 to June 2018 in the Department of Microbiology at RIMS.....

Abstract: Anatomy has its own diverse applications in medicine, surgery and dentistry which is made possible through its various forms like surface anatomy, gross anatomy and osteology, embryology, histology, radiological anatomy and cytogenetics. These various subsets of anatomy amalgamate into various other medical and surgical disciplines and provide a platform for innovative surgical research, which has been highlighted by the authors in this article

Abstract: Cortical blindness is defined as the total loss of vision in the presence of normal pupillary reflexes and in the absence of ophthalmological disease. We report a case of cortical blindness as a result of diffusion restriction in left parieto-occipital-lobe-Acute infarct in left posterior cerebral arteries (PCA) territory and gliosis in right occipital, right temporal lobe. Cerebrovascular disease could be the cause of cortical blindness in our patient. We discuss the possible aetiologies, prognosis and reviewed with relevant literature regarding our patient's condition.

Abstract: Background: Obstructive sleep apnoea is a significant non-communicable disease of public health importance. The burden of the disease is substantial and currently rising. Physical activity is associated with disease causation, severity and progression. Evidence suggests there is a link between physical activity and the risk for developing obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). This study aims to establish the relationship of physical activity with the risk of OSA. Materials and Methods: The study was a cross-sectionalsurvey; comparing the risk of OSA between hospital staff with low and high physical activity. At least 160 participants who are physically inactive and physically active were recruited for the study. The...

Abstract: The AutonomicNervous System ishighlysolicitedduring +Gzaccelerations on high performance aircraft, hence the interest of its exploration in the presence of anyevocativesymptomatology of a dysautonomiapotentially incompatible with the aeronauticalactivity. Vasovagal syncopes are generallybenign but in theaeronauticenvironment and in a predisposeddysautonomic terrain, theycanseriously compromise flight safety. The authors report the case of an in-flight presyncope in a 27yearsoldfighter pilot, whoseexploration of theautonomicnervous system by Ewing's tests revealed vagal hyperactivitywith central and peripheral alpha sympatheticdeficiency. In addition to otheraeronauticalconstraints.....

Abstract: Background: The major reason for failure of composite restorations has been attributed to secondary caries in various randomized controlled trials. Proper finishing and polishing of the restoration can reduce plaque accumulation and formation of secondary caries. Nano abrasives are more effective in reducing the surface roughnessof nanocomposites than the conventional micron sized abrasive polishing systems. Aim:To evaluate the surface roughness of nanocomposite resin discs using Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) after polishing using two different commercial polishing kits and a novel mesoporousnanosilica abrasive.Materials and Methods:Nanosilica was prepared.....

Abstract: Background: Medical expenses are an inevitable part of human life and often perceived seriously by all walks of life. With emerging epidemics and other diseases, this takes the center stage, in terms of quality, the expense involved, and risk parameters. In India there is a popular belief that Indian doctors charge high consultation fees. The present study aims to analyze this assumption with facts and figures, considering allopathy practitioners in India. Methods: The practicing doctors have been categorized into 3 strata such as general practitioners (MBBS), specialists(MD/MS) and subspecialists (MD/MS with additional qualifications).A survey on the consultation fees charged by individual......
