Abstract: Back ground: Neoplasm of the major salivary glands constitute less than 3% of all tumors in the body, many people have an illness related to the salivary glands at some time in their lives, differentiating benign from malignant conditions of salivary glands is vital in management of salivary gland pathologies by clinicians, Cross sectional Imaging modalities such as CT scan or MRI are regularly used for the diagnosis of pathologies involving salivary glands, particularly neoplastic lesions, to evaluate the efficacy of the CT scan and the MRI in identifying and differentiating malignant neoplasm from benign lesions, the aim of this study was correlate CT AND MRI findings in different neoplastic lesions involving salivary glands and evaluate efficacy of CT and MRI in differentiating benign neoplastic lesions from malignant lesions...

Abstract: Background: Permanent first molars occupy a strategic position in the dental arch, so it is necessary to know the caries prevalence in this tooth so that adequate measures can be taken to prevent caries progression or development of new carious lesions. No studies have been conducted till date to evaluate the prevalence of caries in first molars in Calicut district of Kerala, India. Hence, the aim of this present study was to evaluate the prevalence of caries in first molars in Calicut district in 15-17 year old students. Materials and methods: This school based cross-sectional study examined a total of 3200 students after obtaining the institutional ethical clearance and permission from the school authorities. Students were examined and data was collected and recorded.....

Abstract: Background: To assess the intraoperative status of ossicles in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media. Methods : This was an observational study carried out in the department of ENT for a period of three years i.e. from 2016 to 2019. About 150 patients of CSOM both mucosal and squamosal was included in the study. They were then posted for appropriate surgery & their intraoperative ossicular findings were recorded. Results : Out of 150 cases studied, incus was found involved in 50 patients ( 18- mucosal, 32 - squamosal) , stapes was found involved in 36 patients (8 -mucosal, 28- squamosal) , malleus was found involved in 32 patients( 8 -mucosal, 24- squamosal). Incus was involved most frequently in 33.3%, followed by stapes ; involved in total 24% . Malleus was most resistant....

Abstract: Esmolol plays important role in surgical pain response modulation in addition to good perioperative hemodynamic control. The ability of Esmolol to rapidly achieve steady-state β-blockade also makes it ideal to attenuate the intraoperative adverse sympathetic hemodynamic effects and improve the postoperative recovery by reducing postoperative pain intensity and intraoperative anesthetic and opioid requirements. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of Esmolol on perioperative hemodynamic and postoperative pain management. Material and method: A.....

Abstract: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is common, preventable and treatable disease that is characterized by persistent respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation that is due to airway and/or alveolar abnormalities usually caused by significant exposure to noxious particles or gases1. It is the result of complex interplay of long term cumulative exposure to noxious gases and particles, combined with a variety of host factors including genetics, airway hyper-responsiveness and poor lung growth during childhood2,3,4. Often, the prevalence of COPD is directly related to the prevalence of tobacco smoking, although in many countries outdoor, occupational and indoor air pollution (resulting from the burning of wood and other biomass fuels) are major COPD risk factors5,6....

Abstract: Background: According to the original protocol proposed by Brånemark, dental implant can be installed in a complete healing state after tooth extraction. However, it was reported that the alveolar bone loss occurred in 23% during the initial 6 months after extraction. Immediate implantation was suggested as a complementary procedure against this sequelae. Although many studies report on immediate implant placement with considerable success, the literature regarding survival rate in posterior maxilla is sparse. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to systematically evaluate the publications concerning immediate implants placed in the maxilla. Materials and Methods: A Medline...

Abstract: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-2019) is caused by a novel coronavirus known as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and was identified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020. Recent observations suggest that respiratory failure in COVID-19 is not driven by the development of the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) alone, but that (microvascular) thrombotic processes may play a role as well. This may have important consequences for the diagnostic and therapeutic management of these patients. The aim of this study is to understand the pathogenesis of the disease which entails the morbidity, mortality and stagnant life as we know today. proper management and monitoring of thromboembolism in covid has proven to be beneficial in decreasing mortality.

Title | : | Analysis of Marginal Adaptation in Fixed Partial Dentures |

Abstract: Marginal discrepancy of crowns favors increase inmicroleakage that may causepulpal inflammation. Besides, it may increase plaque retention leading to the onset of periodontal disease. Fit of restoration can be most easily defined in terms of "misfit," there are many different locations between a tooth and a restoration where these measurements can be made. The measurements of misfit can be made on different locations and geometrically related to each other such as internalgap, marginal gap, vertical marginal discrepancy, horizontal marginal discrepancy, overextended margin, underextended margin, absolute marginal discrepancy, and seating discrepancy. The best alternative is perhaps the absolute marginal discrepancy, which would be the largest measurement of error at the margin and reflect the total misfit at that particular point.

Abstract: Female genital tuberculosis is one of the extra pulmonary forms of tuberculosis. It is an uncommon pathology in developed countries, but it remains endemic in disadvantaged regions. The causative agent is, in the majority of cases, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and less often Mycobacterium bovis. Female genital tuberculosis is the cause of infertility through tubal but also uterine lesions that it causes. Diagnostic of certainty is provided by biology or histology. The management of infertility is essentially based on in vitro fertilization after a well-conducted medical treatment and a proven cure. Thanks to medically assisted procreation, the fertility prognosis remains good apart from damage to the endometrium which greatly reduces the chances of procreation.....
